The Bull Smokehouse and Saloon

This place had a bar area to sit at or tables. The waitress was super sweet & did a great job especially for it being her 2nd or 3rd day. The food came out quickly. Appetizer was fried cheese balls. We ordered pulled pork sandwich & the bull burger. Both were pretty good. I would of liked more of a drink menu since they did have a bar area. Like what kind of beer they had or mix drinks that were their specialty. But over all pretty good & we will definitely be back.

These guys are awesome, the best brisket pulled pork I've ever had. Killer Mac n cheese and their baked beans are amazing! Prices are reasonable service from Reece and JR was top notch They fed 36 college baseball players will so much food, we are doing it again tomorrow night!!!!!

Hours are wrong. It was open on Saturday. Walked in no sign to seat yourself or host staff. Asked the bar and sat ourselves. Cool place. Food was pretty good. Meat was a little fatty but very well cooked in texture. I would say it could have a littttttle more seasoning or flavor but it wasn't bad. Overall nice convenient place near the hotels of Alva

Our first visit to Alva and our hotel front desk recommended The Bull. When you first drive up, it looks like a country honky tonk. Metal building and gravel parking lot. Very cool place and the food and service were super. Atmosphere was positive and everyone was enjoying a Saturday night. My wife and I had the fried pickles and we split a smoked corned beef Reuben. If you like smoked corned beef, best Reuben I have ever had. Very light on thousand island and kraut but it was very good. Fries were fresh cut and too hot to eat when delivered. Fried pickles were the same. We arrived just after a party of 20 had their order taken so it took a bit for our meal. Would definitely come back. If you are there on a Saturday night be sure and ask about specials. They seem to have several that were not on the menu

Tried to visit mid-afternoon Saturday. Not too busy but still couldn't get service. After initial greeting, menus & water, waitress was everywhere around the floor but at our table. After 15 minutes, just left so can't rate the food as we never got to order. Wanted to give zero stars but App won't let me.
