I wanted to like this restaurant so much. The small town it's in can use any new restaurant it can get! And the staff was very friendly .It is a cool space in the back of Zarah Mall.Great decor! But it just feels like they just opened last week... which I know is not the case. Not all of the items on the menu were available... it took a trip back to the kitchen to ask questions about if something was or wasn't...And when our dinners finally arrived, they had switched the sides between my mom's and my husband's entrees. There were only 3 of us in our group, and only one other table, who'd already been served.I typically would rather not post a review that's negative, but I'm hoping they will get a stronger grip on their purpose and overall vision and work they what's going on. And a glass of wine and some soft music wouldn't hurt either

We knew we wanted to go here but not sure of the time. Make reservations any way. They need the numbers. We were greeted with in seconds but it took several minutes to get seated. We were in no hurry. The food is excellent. Great flavors and definitely all hand cooked. Nothing pre fab here. It was just delicious and we will return when in the area. It's a great little place.

We dined at Tellers 1872 on a Friday evening at 6pm. We were the only ones in the place until after our entrees were delivered. We read the (few) reviews and were excited to try this place. The ambiance is perfect. The decor is beautiful and lovely. Tables were set and very inviting. Menu looked good. We went for their prime rib and due to the lack of people we specifically asked if it was prepared fresh today. Our server answered yes, it is fresh today. Two of us ordered Prime Rib, one medium, one medium well. Husband ordered Rib eye steak. Server informed us right off, they are out of the one type of mac n cheese, and a few other items. Menu states that entrees come with baked potato, side salad, wedge salad or Caesar salad plus one side. Server informed us the wedge and Caesar were an up charge, contrary to what the menu said. After our orders were in the kitchen, she came back out: they were out of rib eye steaks but husband could have the 16 oz prime rib. When entrees came out, no baked potatoes (very busy lunch rush) so mashed were substituted without asking. The 12oz prime ribs were not quite a half inch, and were more like a Sunday roast at Gma's. My husband's 16 oz prime rib actually came out juicy and looked like a fresh cut. The other two prime ribs were dry looking. OK flavor, but definitely not like prime rib. The onions and mushrooms were wonderful, the best food on my plate. They did an up charge on these, even though I explained I can't eat potatoes. She never asked about dessert, although she did take something off the bill. Even so, $100 with no alcohol and no beverages, I expected better. Walking in, this place looks great. But the food and the server leave a lot to be desired. It could be that the lunch is amazing. I'm hoping because I really want this place to survive. How can a restaurant serve prime rib without a lot of traffic? How can they possibly keep it fresh? Maybe this place should simplify their menu so they can execute it with excellence.
