So El Fogon got a little food truck down here next to the smoke shop on 46th and Seneca so now not to drive to the north unless I'm working so I get some of those great pastor tacos

This little hidden gem I found as I changed jobs and it's right by my work. It's cash only so be prepared. The elpastor tacos are to die for.

CASH ONLY!!! But hands down THE BEST tacos in Wichita! And honestly I can't think of another place I've had authentic street tacos in most of my travel either that compare to El Fogon. I've been here at least 20 times. Always a friendly staff. Small dining area but always well kept. The tacos are about the size of my whole palm and typically I eat about 4 in one sitting. Fills me up and makes me all happy! I love coming here.

Every time I come in here, I get the same thing. Every time I come in here, my total is different. It's cash only, the English is very poor, it looks like a major hole in the wall on the outside... BUT, the tacos are One of the best in town, obviously, that's why I keep coming back and paying different prices.

Hours said they are open on Mondays. Drove across the city for nothing. Place looks ghetto and torn up.

Another sketchy taco shop score! This place is super authentic & delicious! We got an el pastor burrito, 2 el pastor tacos, a carnitas Gordita & a side of rice & beans. Our total was only $16, and they're cash only. We've had el pastor tacos in Tijuana & these were comparable, the only difference was they didn't put pineapple on the tacos. I LOVED the rice, it reminded me of my grandmothers. Everything was great, if we lived here it would be a regular stop.

The best pastor you will find in Wichita!! Idk why but most places either over marinate the pastor or cut it into blobs. Personally, my favorite cut is the way Fogon does it. It looks almost flattened but it's crispy at the same time since it's thin enough to re-heat and crisp the edges. The outside looks a little sketch but the hole in the walls are where it's at right? The workers were also very sweet to us and willing to serve although they were closing in 30. As for the asada, it was good but not over the moon like the pastor. Their beans are also very flavorful and yummy. They top it off with some cheese which a lot of places don't do. Who doesn't love more cheese? I also want to note that we got the pastor quesadilla and their meat to cheese ratio was on point. 2:1 with a cheese pull! I'll become a regular here. I know it. Already salivating to go back!

Great food! My husband and i both had tacos al pastor, they were amazing! We went on mother's day, they gave me a delicious slice of cake!

Best Pastor tacos in Kansas. I shouldn't have to say much more than that, just go and try them. Cash only
