Tacos TJ 664

Super yummy, quick, and good service!! We were driving through and decided to stop and pick up a burrito. I got the TJ burrito and it was sooo good !! I added sour cream and cheese and man did that just elevate the burrito. My boyfriend got the La Rarevu and loved it. He said the shrimp was perfectly cooked. The meat ratio to other ingredients are definitely good!The green salsa was delicious with a Smokey taste. Loved the red sauce as well. If we are ever in the area again we will definitely stop in again.

We went for a girls lunch on a Wednesday and they were very busy. Typically I don't go out to the west side of Wichita often but happened to be somewhat close and my usual west side Mexican didn't open until 5pm(sorry San Cruditas!) I looked for the best tacos on a Facebook group and saw multiple tags for TJ 664. Odd name but who cares? The food was pretty good! It lacked heat for me, but overall good flavors, good atmosphere, and decent pricing. The fries actually were the favorite and I'm not a potato lover. The service was lacking but the people that were working all appeared pretty young. The meat for the Birria was tender, the cheese on the fries was actually really nice, the guacamole also was good. I would eat here again if nearby. San Cruditas so far has still been my favorite Mexican in town but I moved here from Texas. I like my heat. This was definitely above the Wichita standard. If you need a good lunch this is definitely a contender.

Self service style with ordering right at the front. They have you a number then you find a table to seat yourself. The Spicy Shrimp taco was great with fresh ingredients and spicy (red) sauce. The Birria Ramen was unique with great flavor and lots of meat. However the noodle needs some work to improve the texture I added the red sauce to Ramen and it actually enhanced the flavor even more.

Food was great. I had quesadillas with the prime beef. Excellent and flavorful. Queso and homemade chips were my favorite. My husband had a burrito with shrimp and beef which was big and a lot of food. He also had the guacamole that he liked. It is an order at the register and self-serve drinks kind of place. Definitely will go back.

Carne asada tacos were amazing, guacamole and queso with chips great. Service was fast and very friendly. Seat yourself was easy, very open space and clean. I'll definitely be back.

Good food, great service! I have not had drinks there so I can't comment on those, but the food is great

This place is good if you are close by, and not near the more authentic taco spots. Or just starving. My visit today was mediocre. I ordered some quesabirria, vampiros tacos, and al pastor tacos. They weren't bad, but in my opinion severely lacking in flavor and spiciness. They served the quesabirria broth on the side, and it was also lacking flavor. The quesabirria was strangely prepared with beans inside of the tacos and consommé. They were not fried with cheese either, instead they tasted like regular carnitas tacos with cilantro, onion, and beans? Very odd. The salsas are MILD, and I'm talking like basically tomato sauce with zero spice. I was very underwhelmed with my experience here, and really wanted better tacos for the hefty price of 36.00.Service was slightly unfriendly too. I suggest going someplace with authentic tacos, where the salsa is spicy, and flavor is abundant. El Fogon is cheaper and has better tasting tacos.

My GO-TO mexican restaurant! So many good menu items too numerous to list, but the top two for me are; spicy shrimp tacos and carne asade vampiros. Oh, shoot! I really have to tell you 1 more, anything with Birria is super scrumptious! Nice casual restaurant with a full bar and outside seating. Service is great, food is hot and fresh! Rush to Tacos TJ and fill your belly.
