Taco Rio

Great Mexican fast food, great Mexican food. Very good service....they actually give you enough food with a normal order that you don't need to order seconds.....

I've been eating here since the day they opened back in the late 70's and I was a about 18... The recipes have never changed... I have to get my "Rio fix" AT LEAST ONCE every time I come home to visit Wichita.If you are looking for barbacoa, lingua or carnitas tacos just keep driving on down the road. This ain't the taco dive for you!If you want some damn fine sancho's, taco's and plates from "back in the day", this is it! Kinda reminds you of how Taco Tico USED TO BE back then... But I always liked Rio a little better... ; )And the ladies who work here during the day are so pleasant! LOVE Taco Rio!

Something has changed at Taco Rio. My wife and I both use to love Rio, this time we both said, " it's terrible food." They've changed something with the hamburger, I had a Texas Sancho and Fried flour taco, $6.00 for the Sancho and it had very little cheese, no green onions on top an meat was greasy. We won't be back.....

It's, shabby, run down and divey, ( a good thing in my book!) which is why I like the place so much! That's not saying anything bad about the food, because the food is carefully crafted by generous women who are friendly and eager to please. It's a cozy place on the inside. Not every place has to look brand spanking new for me to know if it's an old location, the food is great, which kept the place open so long! I'm in!Forget the outside, the inside is well kept. I really like the pictures on the walls. Enough about the architecture. Let's eat! Pay attention to the weekly specials. Worth every bite! Look for coupons in the back of the phone book. When you get your food, stop at the little sauce area. Hook up to a variety of sauces and even sliced jalapeños to add to your food.Water is readily available with the "good" ice. We asked and were immediately handed a cup with a W on it. I drink a lot of water, so I appreciate that!Be sure to put in a good word by using the comment card on the table. We'll be back!

First off I just want to say the customer service was great, nice friendly staff and they make you feel very welcomed... unfortunately the food was very underwhelming, I wasn't impressed in the slightest. Definitely not anything to rave about. They need some real Mexicans in that kitchen ASAP. Also the food is very over priced and lacks flavor, very bland.

I like going here for fried flour Tacos, used to go here more , but new owners have changed the Meat and it's Mushy, instead of crumble chunks So don't go as often

Food is terrible!! Prices are outrageous! $3 Combo burrito is the size of a quarter. I brought this to the employee's attention, and they could care less. Better off at Taco Bell!! Rena's Mexican restaurant is 100% better! We will not ever return! Something has definitely changed?? We used to love this place! Wake up people!!... Demand better food for your hard-earned dollar!!

Food is always awesome! A tradition when I am visiting Wichita to get food from here! Great food, awesome service prices!

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and there is always a huge drive thru line of cars. So, I waited 20 minutes (at least) to place my order. Prices were decent. Too bad the food didn't match the prices. Greasy uninteresting tacos leaked thru the paper bag. The flat tasting beef enchilada was encased in an impossible to open plastic sarcophagus. The taco burger was surrounded in a rubbery doughy bun. I am dumbfounded as to the attraction to Taco Rio. One thing is, I don't have to be FOMO any more!
