Decent hospital but there were some issues while here. Could be better with accommodating fat people.Everyone is very nice but communication needs a lot of improvement. Nurses and overall bedside manner is really good though. We had issues with our referral to another dr but they eventually did straighten it out for us. Everyone very nice and the emergency room was a short wait.

If I could give this hospital billing department ZERO stars, I absolutely would. The billing team here is incompetent and refuses to work with you.In December 2023, I received a bill for $172.00 for a nebulizer I did not use and subsequently returned to the hospital's Durable Medical Equipment department on January 2024. I have a receipt confirming the return. I offered to pay for the unit as a rental since I had not used it, and returned the unit in new order.Despite confirming with my insurance company that no payment was made towards the nebulizer, I was informed by the billing department (representative: Tonya) that I was responsible for the remaining balance. I escalated the issue to the director, Amy, who left a voicemail stating the opposite. Amy said that despite me returning the unit, that my insurance had paid for it, so I needed to pick it up. I returned the item, why in the world would I pay for it? You don't purchase and item at a store, return it but not receive a refund. Simply idiotic.I confirmed with my insurance that ZERO dollars were paid to Susan B Allen Hospital. Amy is combative in her tone and her lack of desire to resolve this issue peacefully and professionally is quite concerning.I believe there is an error in the billing regarding this returned nebulizer. I have contacted the hospital directly to resolve this issue but have not received a satisfactory response. My next steps are to file a complaint with the Kansas Department of Health and Human Services, The BBB and other healthcare advocates to resolve this issue.

I've had several surgeries and procedures here. I always get good service, great staff, caring doctors and personnel. I always have a good experience whenever I have to get my body worked on here. I recommend this place to everybody.

This is the worst ER I have been to. My husband had severe eye pain, swelling and redness and couldn't open them AT ALL!! This caused a bad headache as well. The nurse Was rude and said he was probably faking. Took him in the back to do an eye test (WHEN HE CAN'T OPEN HOW EYES ARE YOU KIDDING ME) and when he got loud and upset the Dr on call was VERY RUDE and asked when he last did drugs because he was being irate and cursing!! We left and drove to Wichita. NEVER GO TO THIS HOSPITAL!!

I think SBA is the best hospital in a two county area and that includes all the "big boy" hospitals in Wichita. I've had Emergency Room services, Outpatient surgeries and procedures and a multitude of testing done at this facility. Everybody from the admissions desk people to the lab techs ( and everybody else in between) are friendly and extremely efficient and that is hard to find in this day and age. I traveled from Wichita to Eldorado for over 10 years to go SBA because I think it is just that much better. Now that I'm retired, I am wishing there were more specialists available in Eldorado so that I could get some of those procedures done at SBA. Velene B

Love the Augusta Walk-in ER, but Gawd the billing is so messed up it isn't even explanatory from the bills provided. They keep telling you that you owe but can't prove it in writing and on paper. Can take almost a year to get the bill...Then the DR's separate bill comes trailing along. I really don't want to return to this DR office if the billing is jacked and keeps demanding more money.Some people who used the El Dorado Susan B. Allen hospital and attached clinics were treated like *hit for routine visits, even working slaves from Wichita tried using this hospital/DR only to get screwed with by staff and billing. Yet, the convicts at El Dorado prison give the hospital top reviews for good treatment in surgeries and diagnostic testing...

The billing is awlful and nurse was a lyar...I went from a total free allergy shot to a nightmare...billed me for office visit every time but didn't tell me up front ..I asked nurse if there be a fee..she said no..there was no fee for shot but she never mentioned the nurse visit fee cost me hundreds of dollars before I realized she lied...even the place at Dillon's says that ridiculous they don't charge a fee to give shot..I was ripped off and lied to
