Shawnah did a brilliant job for us. It was an ugly few months, and Shawnah was prepared for several ugly court appearances. She is calm, patient, intelligent and reads situations accurately. And she is such a nice person. She fought multiple times for us, and she got justice for everyone. I highly recommend Shawnah and her team. Her assistant/secretary did a wonderful job keeping us calm in a stressful situation.

Shawnah and Angel could not have done a better job when it came to my custody case. From my first meeting with Shawnah I felt comfortable, she listened to my whole story and understood where I came from and what my concerns were. Moving forward in my case I felt that she made strategic moves that were in the interest of my child's physical and mental wellbeing. She was very honest and upfront about all possible outcomes of every hearing we attended and always made time to speak to me after to let me know what next steps would be. She also would give me advice about future possibilities and made me feel confident in what to do moving forward. For someone with little experience in the court system, I extremely appreciated that I never felt dumb for asking questions, left out of the loop about what was going on, nor that I didn't have a say in what would happen next as it pertained to my case. She would listen to me while in court and respond as she saw fit and always made sure that my child wouldn't be put in uncomfortable situations. Previous attorneys had not been so informative and reassuring. Shawnah made sure I knew my options within the boundaries of the law and showed class and integrity in the way she presented my case to the judge. I feel that she was fair and reasonable but also willing to do what was necessary if things went awry moving forward. The outcome of my case was fair to all parties (including the child) and it's not often that attorneys look to the best interest of the child, most do anything they can to make their client happy. She was also very forthright about her billing (which is the lesser of concerns when it comes to your child but notable for future clients) and made me feel comfortable that I wouldn't be billed for more than the services rendered. And I felt that what was billed was more than fair for my court case.

My experience with Strongpoint Law was not good. And I gave opportunity for that to be fixed. Shawnah Bennett represented me in family court, she refused to actually look into answering specific legal questions and instead just told me that a family law judge could do anything he wants. In the end (after years of her not answering the repeated specific questions I placed in front of her) I researched the statute myself and had to force her to read it in front of me (this was after months of her not responding when I sent her the statute by email, and again, that was after years of asking her to look into it herself). Shawnah ultimately agreed that the Judge was violating statutory law. At that point, her refusal to do her job had created a huge mess, she then wanted nothing more than to distance herself from the case rather than fix her mistakes as she was asked to. I specifically asked her to remedy her mistakes, and instead she withdrew from the case. Adding insult to injury, after I had paid her many thousands of dollars while getting bad advice because she did not take the time to actually read the statute, Shawnah Bennett had the nerve to send me a bill from that meeting. Now I am faced with a huge uphill battle that should have been stopped before it got started. It's not a matter of her being surprised in a court of law, Shawnah Bennett refused to address specific questions (no matter how many times I asked) which left both her and I unprepared in the courtroom and all other dealings in the process. Looking back, it seems that the judge and other lawyers were already aware that she would put up no fight, no matter what they did. I can only speak to my experience, but I would caution against using Shawnah Bennett in any instance where a lawyer would be required to fight for the rights of a client. Shawnah Bennett refused at all turns to put up any sort of real fight on my behalf (even after being shown that the law clearly supported the stance).
