I have used Star Drain 3 times. In all three instances they have not arrived within the time frame they established. That is, the say they will arrive between 1pm and 4pm. Yet, they don't arrive until 4:45. In all three cases of using them the employee complained about something: My access point is in a bad location, if I did not have trees my lines would not get blocked, etc.I'm just will not use the again.

I was awaken by the sound of a stream outside my bedroom window around 5pm... confused because the rain had stopped long before I dozed off, I lifted my head looking out my window and what did I see...? Why it was one of Star Drain's finnest releaving himself on the side of my house!!! Oh, and it gets even better.... I call Star drain to speak to his boss JIM("lil willy" cant call his boss like i requested because his phone is dead), and they dont ask me what my name is or the employees name in question, no, the only thing JIM wants to know from me is "well, did you take a picture?".... for proof he says when I ask wth would I take a picture? So, instead of offering to send someone out to finish the job, JIM hangs up on me when confronted about calling me a liar by asking for proof. The "owner" was more insulting than "lil willy" ever could have been. Cheers Star Drain... Salute!

they got our drains taken care of. Also they were able to find out where we had a pinhole leak in the pipe going to our main shut off in the basement so we could get it taken care of.

I had a Horrible Experience with the senior owner, when they came to clear our drain. He never introduced himself (why I dont have his name). He immediately was confrontational with me about why my drain was taken apart, which was done by a handy man (who refers to them) earlier in the day. He TOLD ME to put it back together (something I would be lost trying to do) Then was mad that I used Draino. (Again the handyman called them, Idk that was against the rules). Then made my wife reach in the sink to unplug the drain since they "had sleeves."I then called to file a formal complaint and dispute the bad weather charge (which was 2X higher than they said) and a $40 mileage fee. I explained that they are within 10miles of me, and their mileage fee is $2.50 per mile. The woman on the phone said they took the long way (There is no long way. I know my town and the roads to newton). They drove "16 miles." Genuinely not true. THIS ISNT THE WORST PART YET.She then said that her boss was having a bad day, due to snow, and he admitted to taking it out on me and my wife (Who were super accommodating and kind). She refuses to reduce the $40. I explained that I went to work on the "Bad weather day" and didn't charge my patients any extra for taking a detour to get to work (even though I know they didn't drive extra). She asks what I do. Explaining I'm a dentist, she then says I don't understand because I don't use equipment outside. After I explain that the drain guys worked inside our house and not outside. She then insulted my job saying that patients must get upset at my fees, but I don't change them. To which I responded that we explain what our fees are beforehand, treating the patient respectfully and compassionately, WHICH THE OWNER ADMITTED TO NOT DOING. All I wanted was for them to honor their word with the weather charge, and for the mileage fee to make sense with their drive. I regret allowing them into my home and will dissuade anyone I can to find a different service other than Star Drain Cleaning.
