Sport Burger

I have been a loyal Sport Burger fan for about four years and recently have seen a drastic decline in the level of service and an increase in receiving incorrect orders after watiing inline for 65 minutes. My most recent visit on Wednesday, 20 March 2024, took 65 minutes waiting in line to place and recieve my order. The service was much slower than usual with only four cars in front of me. I placed my ususal order for a bacon cheese burger combo, onion rings (w/up-charge) and a strawberry soda. My toppings were well done grilled onions, mustard, cheese, lettuce and tomato and bacon. I repeated my order twice to verify it with the cashier. Here's the rating on my order once as recieved:Burger: nearly burned, dry like a hockey puck.Toppings: Onion not grilled and still white & crunchy; bacon was greasy and not crispy; mustard - NONE, lettuce - NONE, tomato - NONEStrawberry soda: Can was nice and coldOnion rings: Flavorful and crispyI normally would not complain, but to wait 65 minutes in-line and then recieve my order with the WORST burger I have ever had was disappointing to say the least. I would have returned for a replacement burger, but I live 30 minutes away from Sport Burger. To add insult to injury I gave the cashier a $3.00 tip! Perhaps Sport Burger needs to pay closer attention to getting the customers orders right and get their burger quality back to where it was in the years past. I will no longer patronize the business as a result, its a shame becuase they were my number one burger joint in Wichita.

Juicy, tasty burger and perfectly crispy fries!! Top notch burger joint! Service takes a little time, definitely worth the wait!! Yum!!!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST BURGERS. Drive thru only, cash only (or cash app). Just jam to your favorite tunes, put your car on accessory (so you don't waste gas), and enjoy the time spent waiting because it is 1000% worth it. Genuinely wonderful people doing what they love: making great food. Be kind and expect to wait because good things take time. Love these people, love this place, don't ever change because y'all are doing it right!

By far the very best burger in Wichita. Recently changed their hours, not near as convenient. But always worth the wait, even though they usually have a long line.

Really good! Tried this place today and definitely want to go back! The food was made fresh after we ordered and you can sure tell a difference from the chains. Well worth a couple minutes to get such a great burger. Will be going back!

Wow. Fries were hot, crisp, and delicious. The burger was one of the best I've ever had. Got the grand slam meal combo with bacon and jalapenos added... thought I'd died and gone to burger heaven. The sweet tea was excellent. Waited about 30 minutes after being 9th in line. Was definitely worth the wait!

Complete and utterly disappointed. Upon arriving at this establishment, I waited on a city streets because there is not a drive way long enough to allow customers to pull into. Waiting close to a half hour just the order is ridiculous! When I finally got to order, I was not pleased that the pricing has changed. What happened to the slogan "Home of the 99¢ Cheeseburgers!" ? When you order at any other fast food location, you get a receipt of your purchase. Well, not here! Upon ordering, (I ordered the #1-Home Run meal which comes with a burger, fries and a drink), I was told that my total would be calculated at the window. Is there something wrong with the POS machine that I cannot receive a total at the end of my order? So, there I sit watching my temperature gauge on my vehicle rise to a point of overheating. Overheating is not good for your vehicle! Finally, I get to the window and read that they do not accept credit cards or debit cards. In the time of COVID-19, what company is accepting cash as the only available payment? This establishment has been here for a decades and still does not accept credit cards? Before I pay ($6.01) for my meal, I noticed that none of the employees are wearing mask, gloves or any protective gear. I was given my food which I chose not to eat because I am I not sure how many hands have touched it before mine. You've got to be kidding me? Thank goodness Two brother's BBQ is near!

Let's see.....what word comes to mind for this joint??..........OHMAGOSH!!!!! (Yes, that's one word, in my vocabulary, anyway!)We have lived in this town for 43 years now, and have never been to Sport Burger I know, apparently, a cardinal sin!They close at 6:00 pm on Friday's, so we decided at 5:30 to try and make it from the NW part of the City. Passing every cop in Wichita, we finally arrived at 6:50 (whew)I ordered a single bacon cheeseburger with "extra" grilled onions and the hubby ordered a double cheeseburger with the same! A Soda and some onion rings, and we were gold!! Yes, there is a wait, but C'mon folks....every single item is made from scratch and to order! WELLLL worth the wait...."no time", you say???? Then go to McDonalds (who, by the way also has wait time!)Where in the world have I been, not going to this place at least once a week? I did everything to look past my husband, sitting at the steering wheel, so I could watch her put on the fresh pile of onions, toasted buns and fresh hamburger patties!!! As she pleasantly handed the white bags of goodness to my husband, I couldn't contain my curiosity and dug into the onion rings. They were still screaming hot..... and what didn't burn my tongue, was a delicious morsel of perfectly battered onion! Since it's drive through only, we promptly drove across the street and parked to eat our weight in this sinful yumminess! Bottom line....Service with a smile and even a blessing!! The woman who cooked and gave us our food was as friendly and pleasant as anyone I've ever met at a fast food place, let alone a 5 star restaurant! The food......well.....absolutely above any and all expectations! Neither one of us could finish....so, late night snack, it is!If you don't mind the wait, and we didn't.....by all means you MUST make it out to Sport Burger!! Don't blink, or you'll pass right by it!

Great burger! The drive thru will take some time but be patient! It is worth the wait. Locally owned! They make everything once you order - not pre-cooked.

The glaring issue is time spent in drive thru. I arrived at 5:35p, and didn't get my food until 6:45p. I was the sixth car in line. Appreciate the food is made fresh. It was a great burger; lots of flavor. Fries are crisp. If I was just reviewing food; this place is five stars, all day. I cannot fathom spending another hour+ waiting in line again, though.
