Spangles

This is SPECIFIC to the location at 612 S Tyler in Wichita. I have not had this experience at other locations.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I was not aware of their operating hours as I approached the drive thru in the morning. I pulled into the drive thru at 6:29AM. I waited. The light on the menu was barely lit, so it was hard to read. Another two vehicles pulled in right behind me. And we waited. And waited. I tried to talk to someone - anyone - in the speaker. No response. I called the restaurant from my phone and let it ring and ring...and ring. No response. FINALLY at 6:33AM I pulled around the corner to see if anyone was even in the store. I could see a white individual (older) at the end of the corner of the sidewalk smoking. He sees me and immediately goes back inside. I pull up to the window and no one is present in the store. I see a black individual (young) smoking at the door just outside drive thru. I pull up and ask if he works here. He said yes. I asked if they were open as no on was responding at the drive thru. He looked over at the white individual as he was heading back inside and said, "I don't know. HE'S the kitchen manager." I left. It was 6:34AM. As I pulled away, I could see several other vehicles in line. I went down the road to a competitor and gave THEM my money. Not happy. I expect more from this chain. I can see now that the store opens at 6:30AM. In my opinion, at 6:30AM SHARP someone should've been taking my order. Not at 6:33, 6:34 or 6:35, which is when I assume the first order was taken.

So good got peanut butter and jelly cheeseburger it burned my mouth and tasted like beef

I got the limited time soy sauce burger and it was so good it tasted like sushi. I would like you to bring it back

Every time I come through here, customer service excellent! And lemme tell ya, the fries were perfect today!

This spangle restaurant at 612 N. Tyler, was was closed after a fire in August, will open at 6:30 a.m. May 20. Spangles is offering a number of promotions to kick-off the reopening, including offering a coupon booklet for one free meal a week for a year to the first 100 customers standing in line at the restaurant on May 20. This is the third or fourth time they have done this promotion and it is always a big party of people waiting for the opening. When they get there they sign in and get a number and there are random roll calls to insure they are still there in line. If they miss the recall then they are removed from the line list and the others move up. Sounds like a good organized way to do it. Could you imagine the mad house if they didn't keep it organized. I stopped by tonight about 11pm after getting off work and there were about 30 tents and maybe 300 people there. They had set up a basket ball goal and had a game going. There was a rapper that had setup a sound system and he was singing. there were other passing a football and lots of people just laying around. Just a big party and a tent community. I also have always enjoyed spangles burgers, sandwich's, fries, ice creams and everything. Yes I am a Spangle Fan...

I love spangles but they have a tendency to always forget something on my order. Like today I got pancakes with sausage and a sausage added on to the side also, and I ended up ONLY with the pancakes. Was pretty upset about it and even tried to call but there for no answer for 10 minutes so I just hung up. Won't be going here again because this is the 3rd time it's happened.

This place was recommended by a friend of mine (Wichita local) and it wasn't actually bad. Customer service was great. In believe I ordered the #10 and it was deliciously! Sweet Tea was also top tier

Philly steak is so yummy. If you haven't tried it, you really need to. The French fries are very good as well. The West street location is the best one in my opinion.

I don't know who Ty is to this location, but his attitude is awful. My fiancé was ordering, watching the monitor at the drive thru, and paused for Ty to catch up. Ty aggressively says "Are you going to order a drink or not". I get you're middle aged and this isn't what you had in mind for your age, but if you're that mad with your life, use the making you're making to go back to school and better yourself. On another note, food is still good.

I feel like I'm always complaining on this app but these restaurants need to hear the feedback in order to improve their service. I've had other botched orders from this spangles but on my most recent visit I ordered a mushroom Swiss burger combo. It was still breakfast time so I knew it would take a little longer to get my food. The lady in the drive thru didn't even ask if I wanted to upsize my meal. She just automatically tried to charge me for a large. Then they asked me to pull into a stall to wait for my food which was understandable. After about 15 minutes I got my food and went home. I opened the bag and found what looked like a fruit salad and a box with 3 little chicken tender looking things. This is a normal thing at this restaurant from my experience.
