Well, anyplace that has an ancient corgi as official greeter gets four stars from me.Lots of other things were ancient in this mall as well. I was here on a Sunday, I think, and not much was open in town so I killed an hour wandering here. I was on the look out for enamelware, my newest obsession, so it was kind of fun to poke around. Didn't find anything I quite needed, but there was lots of different booths to look over with reasonable prices. Thanks for being open on a quiet Sunday in the middle of Kansas.

Some of the most over priced "antiques" I've run a cross! $22 for mason jars. $25 a piece for plain sewing drawers, and the are delaminating. Keep going. We've stopped everywhere along this route and it won't take long to get 4 fancy drawers for $50 or masons for $10. Explains the dust. It's individual venders like most places.

Many reasonable priced, Americana items, that your Kansas grandparents likely owned. We. Always stop on our way to Denver. Great place to take a break. Will do it again.

We passed through Colby on a camping road trip from Northern Colorado to Branson, Missouri. We enjoy antique stores while traveling and in our localarea of Colorado. We stop at as many as we are able along the way. I had been looking forward to Southwind all day but it was the most DISAPPOINTING antique stop I have ever experienced. Items are at least 4x OVERPRICED. Not sure if they think their location warrants these prices, but we aren't talking any priceless rare finds, people. We are talking literal boxes of rocks (pictured) for $20+. You have got to be kidding me. I found one item I may have purchased, but just could not bring myself to patronize this business and their ABSURD sale tags. We will NEVER STOP HERE again, and I hope this review helps others to know it's not worth it.

This place is run by a lovely couple with the greatest dog I've met. Kipper is a corgi who will greet you joyously without jumping or barking. He listens and is extremely sweet and calm. I literally come here just to visit him when I'm passing Colby. The antiques themselves are hugely varied and some are very valuable. I have found really fun bizarre things that made me laugh (and were really reasonably priced) as well as beautiful pieces (spoons) to add to my collections. In particular, I like that this antiques "mall" has clearly displayed prices and such an extreme variety--you can get kitchen implements, incredible quilts, caboodles straight out of 1982, and (to an ignorant girl at least) every farm tool that has ever been invented. There are many small parts available here as well--I think if I were trying to repair or replace an older item and needed parts I would absolutely look here. They also have a huge number of older style beads and jewellery that would make any hipster broke, so if old jewellery missing beads or "style update" is necessary this, again, is an excellent place to look first.Come to see KipperStay for the odditiesFind a hideous wacky statue to place on your jerk neighbour's porch to scare himGet mom an exquisite porcelain pitcher and glittering blue glass elephant centrepiecePay reasonable prices to a good business that deserves itPet Kipper more before you goLeave happy, every time

We often stay overnight in Colby, KS. We like to visit antique shops and malls so decided to stop at this antique mall. We found some things we were interested in until we saw the prices. The items we were interested in were way overpriced. We left without purchasing anything. Not sure how they keep the doors open.

While traveling we stopped and stayed two days in Colby, KS. We love antique stores so went to two in town; one being the Southwind Antique Mall. I walked in and there was no one at the counter so I started walking around. While I do like grungy side of the road antique stores; this one looked like they moved a swap meet inside. I got a headache from the musky smell of everything. I did find a vintage photo after walking around. I said "hello" a few times and there was no answer. I stood at the counter for a few more minutes while listening to some small animal whimper and squeak and there was a cage left open; who knows what it was. I left without purchasing the photo and had a headache for an 1+ from the smell.

Great variety! The mall has dozens of dealers with fair prices, most being negotiable. The couple the run the store are very knowledgeable about the items they have and can give you a lot of history behind the pieces. Convenient location right south of I-70.
