We stayed at the Sonesta Simply Suites during the time from when they transitioned from one brand to Sonesta. At the time we were there, we stayed with an unconfirmed time to depart due to my mother's imminent death approaching. We were there to say make the final arrangements, and the staff was so very understanding. They allowed us to change rooms in the middle of our stay to a larger room with no change in rates out of sympathy to our situation (our son was coming in to join us.) If we come back to Wichita, Sonesta will be our first choice for a hotel!

I have stayed at this hotel many times and always had a good experience , but this last time was not so good. When I first got there on Thursday I check in and pay with my debit card and everything was ok. then comes the weekend I was going to see my family for the day and didn't feel like checking out so I went ahead and extended my stay till Monday I booked online using the same website as before.A charge of 161 came out of my account then I but I go to front desk to do the paperwork and the person at front desk said that they could not accept my card. The same card I had used before.Then the person at the front desk seem to be an incompetent worker to be working the front desk I even suggested I could pay using Apple Pay which I know they do accept, there credit card machines even says it they accept apple and Samsung pay. He said no I could feel that the card was not the issue. He just didn't want me to stay there. He then said that I had to check out and had one hour to get out. I was busy trying too get ahold of the website to get this resolved and surely hour came by and the same guy from front desk was at the room harassing me to leave. He knocked on the door and I told him I needed more time he got an attitude with me and said 10 minutes. Then not even a few minutes later he knocks again trying to Kick me out of a room like If I was trash.He should learn a little more about costumer service or should not be working a job where costumer service is required. I felt so rushed and harassed by the employee it was very uncomfortable not to mention that the money was pulled out of my account. I mean why doesn't the hotel pay us guest a cancelation fee for not following through with there part. Because The money was pulled from my account I showed up they didn't let me check in. I just wanted to let the hotel know that I am very upset and let you know of how your employee treat your guest.
