Skaer Veterinary Clinic

We went to this clinic as a walk in with a very sick pup. Everyone was so caring and kind not only with my puppy but with me as well. We are from Oklahoma, so they didn't take care of us to get new clients. They took care of us because they care.

All the vets and staff are absolutely wonderful. So kind and caring when we lost our boy Pixel, as well as when we lost our girl Zoey. They've taken such good care of us and our fur babies since we found them. Our current girls, Kida, Maggie, and Mollie love going here, and love the staff. I couldn't recommend a better vet here locally.

I usually don't take the time to write bad reviews, but I'm so upset about how this vet treated my animals I feel the need to.I had surgery a couple of days ago and my dogs Pedro and Henry were dropped off for the day with a specific list of what needed to be done. Henry needed a heartworm test and heartworm medication sent home. Instead of sending him home with heartworm medication, he was given two vaccinations that he's already had without my permission. They didn't even bother to get his records from my vet in Dallas, which would have showed those vaccines as current. They also sent him home with a report. One of the comments said his hearing was "normal." He's actually deaf, so not sure how they came to that conclusion. One can only assume that he wasn't really examined.My French Bulldog Pedro needed his anal glands and nails done. They said he was "too anxious" and needed to be tranquilized, so they couldn't do it. I've literally never had a problem at any other vet. He's not a nervous dog. In fact, he normally loves going to the vet. I suspect he wasn't treated well because he's never been a problem before...ever. His report also recommended that I "neuter him for his health." He's already neutered!!! If you can't tell if a dog has been neutered, may be you shouldn't be in business!!! Also, I think it's extremely unethical and dangerous to give a dog random shots without the owners permission and their current records!!!These people are beyond incompetent!!!!

The best Veterinary clinic in Wichita. I know, I've tried several. Some people think they're more expensive, but actually they are more thorough. In fact, they caught a type of bladder tumor in my little Norwich Terrier that K-State had never successfully removed because there are so few symptoms that it usually kills dogs before anyone notices it. That was about 1 or 2 years ago and Gizmo is still fine. If your pets' health and happiness is important to you this is the place to take them. The vets here are better than most of the doctors in town.

I went to Dr. Skaer for a second opinion years ago. She was very thorough and aggressive, which I really appreciated. She helped lengthen the lives of both of my dogs with heart problems. Her staff is the sweetest. I adore the other two vets that work along side her and her receptionists are some of my favorite people! The experience at Skaer is always a delight.

Great, caring professionals at Skaer Vet Clinic. Drs. Skaer, Skaer, Dugan, and Arnett take great care of our fur babies. They've been with us through difficult times and always with compassion. We live across town but always make the trip to Skaer Vet Clinic.

I cannot say enough about this clinic. They have taken such good care of our pup and two kitties. They always call after appointments to check in on each pet, which I really appreciate. Dr. Arnett and Covington make our pets feel so comfortable and communicate what needs to be done before doing anything and are always so good about answering our long list of questions. They take the time to talk to us and answer all of our questions. Even during emergencies during the day, we can always get an answer as to whether we need to see someone immediately or do something at home. I can't imagine taking our pets anywhere else.

They are the best vet you will ever find. I have taken 4 dogs to them over the course of 20 years and they care so much for your animals. I wouldn't trust anybody but Dr. Skaer, the other drs and her staff with my little doggies. Highly recommend and they will have my business for ever!

I work out of town a lot so I'm always looking for a good veterinary clinic for my two 2 1/2 pound teacup yorkies that travel with me. As luck would have it on my way out of the hotel the staff wanted to see my dogs. My male started chewing on his leash and gotten it stuck between his back teeth. We had to make an emergency trip to the vet to remove it. These guys were great! They were courteous and prompt and I was on my way. If I remember right it was around $39 or so.

Wow. What can I even say... these people are PROS. They made my Max feel safe and secured while running all kinds of blood work and getting samples of his skin. Kept him distracted and even kept my price as low as they could. Such nice and caring staff. They practice fear free care so if your baby is scared they give the option to sedate. They don't want the animal to be stressed or scared in their care.
