My homey and I came here one hot and humid Sunday afternoon to have our first experience of horse back riding, and let me tell you... we had a LOT of fun! The staff is extremely helpful and courteous, a little too gregarious at times lol...What we didn't like was that they didn't let us out of the barn cause it was our first friggin' time! We were there just to try it out ($20 a piece for an hour), although they offer full classes for interested individuals.Note to all the Wichitans who are always like "there's not much to do around here...", well there is! Go out and explore, horse back riding might be the thing for you.

Not recommended. Jill, the main instructor is not a nice person. I would not want my kids exposed to her yelling and demeaning comments. And the quality of instruction she provides is very low. There are definitely better places to experience and learn horesback riding in Wichita.

If you are looking for a top-notch facility to board your horse , (or horses) here it is! From the first time Joan took me on a tour of the place in her motorized cart, with her dog along for the ride, it has been a totally positive experience. I have been able to ride all winter in the indoor round pen and arena! Doesn't matter if it is snowing or raining, there is plenty of room to ride indoors! Even my tack shed is inside the barn! They also have a huge outdoor arena, and track, as well as yet another track in a clearing down the road. The owners are welcoming , yet don't hover , they are available if I need them. The other boarders are super friendly, too. I love the peacefulness here, my horse gets excellent care, I am very pleased!!

While this might be a good place for novices to get a chance to ride a horse, it is not my favorite barn to stay in. Keep your tack in your car or locked up, as you never know when someone on "staff" will use it to break a green horse, and let them roll with it, thereby breaking the tree and making the saddle dangerous. They will of course deny this.A scary place to be a horse. 'nuff said.I am happy, however, to know that they keep novice or "green" riders, in the arena; it is safer for you and the horse. Letting folks "loose" on a 1200 lb animal with a mind of it's own is asking for trouble. People don't really get that they are not big, brave dogs that are mobile like a motor bike.

Not impressed. I have owned & ridden horses all my life & want to pass on a love of riding & horsemanship to my children. I have tried Singletree a number of times ( 5X ) & I must say that I am not impressed by the condition of their horses nor the maint. care & cleanliness of their riding equipment. The women who run the stable are VERY experienced and knowledgeable. They do teach lessons well & have appropriate expectations for their students however the horses are in very poor condition. I am not suggesting that the horses are not cared for but almost all of the lesson horses are well into their senior years & past retirement, have perm. lameness, skin issues, idiosyncrasies etc. I am MOST CONCERNED that there is farm equipment perm. kept in the middle of the riding ring! I am certain that this is NOT SAFE & if a rider is thrown or falls onto that equipment- it is a shame because it so obviously "an accident waiting to happen". It is hard for me to believe that there isn't another place to store or park the farm equipment when they have acres of land, fenced areas, barns & out buildings. This lack of concern for safety is very upsetting & we will not be returning to this stable.
