Sig's Gourmet Butcher Shop

I made my first purchase from Sig's yesterday. A 4 1/2 pound brisket. It needed no trimming. I cooked it in the oven at 300 for Valentine's dinner. It was amazing! Thanks Sig's. I'll be back!

I've been going to Sig's since for over ten years. Their meats are so much better than what is even available at grocery stores. I have ordered freshly butchered cuts before and never been disappointed. What keeps me coming back though, is their hot dogs and Andouille which I use for New Orleans style red beans and rice. The pre-packaged stuff is just a waste of money and doesn't do the dish justice. What I like most is that most of his meats are from local sources and you can be assured of freshness. Their prices are understandably higher than super markets, but quality usually is. For dependable quality, I give Sig's high marks. I also wish they had a website.

Butcher shops like this place don't exist in many places anymore! You pay for quality meat and that is what you get. Are you a steak person? Good chance you will buy one of the best cuts of meat you have gotten in a long time or ever! Help support local small stand alone family owned butcher shops. You don't know what you are buying in chain stores. What you are buying here is great meat, great service and knowledge behind the counter. -Brent

Sig's is an excellent butcher shop. The have a wide variety of meats and cuts that will serve almost every need. My favorite thing about Sig's though is their selection of Hot Dogs and Sausages. The variety is excellent, and all sausages are created in house. To date, my family has tried the following: Hot Dogs, Hot Links, Bratwursts, Polish Sausages, and Cheddarwursts. Each one has been excellent. Sig's also has BBQ meats. Their pulled pork and brisket are great when you need a quick main course for a meal. You can also get a wide selection of specialty sauces and rubs there.

The steaks are unreal! I come here for everything but fish. Great pork chops, hot dogs, real bacon and pork sausage for gravy. Deli counter with all kinds of meats and cheeses. But the steaks, huge and tender.

Awesome choices of meats, both frozen and fresh; as well as sausages; friendly service; and they pack whatever you order for delivery to friends and family anywhere in the continental US. Place is always clean; no meaty smell

I go there often. I went to get a few kc strips once, my favorite. They didn't have any at the time so I inquired why? The very polite lady replied to me that what the supplier was asking in price and what they would have to charge their customers was simply not up to their standards. As a consumer I think that is something not valued in today's times often and not only do I respect that but I appreciate it as a consumer! I've never been disappointed

You walk in and you are greeted warmly. There is no doubt you are in a meat market. You can get the pre cut or special cuts if you need. The quality is excellent and the taste is better. The store has other items from local suppliers. The pepper nuts are addictive. While you wait on the meat to be cut, you can also brush up on the source of the various cuts with the posters on the wall. Meat is the motif and Sig's delivers.

Although Sig's meats may be better than a supermarket chain, I was very disappointed, when shopping there yesterday, that the employees did not wear masks. At least the person who waited on us did not!!! If customers wear masks, to show respect for the health of other people, I definitely feel that Sig's employees should show respect for their clientele!!! For that reason, I will probably not shop there again.

I gave this "One Star" because it was the lowest rating possible...really should have the FDA out to his place! Bought Hamburger took home put in freezer for one day...took it out to prepare and you would not believe what the stuff looked like! Sig's wrapped new meat around older meat and the Hamburger was BLACK...BLACK on the inside...PATHETIC! Watch out for some of these little mom and pop shops because they would rather send crap out the door and make someone sick then to toss out and lose money!
