Serenity B&B more than lived up to its name! We celebrated our 20th anniversary here and the owner Ken was more than hospitable. Dinner was excellent and our room very nice with mixed nuts in the room, coffeemaker and complimentary bottled water . . . Overall, it was a great experience!

As it was my first time staying at a B&B was a little apprehensive but once I walked inside was in heaven! Beautiful old home expertly decorated! I felt as though I had gone back in time. The home is simply beautiful inside and out. The room had a huge bed and was quite comfortable. The meals were like eating at a 5 star place and portions were huge, I'm from Texas and liked that! The owner was there to assist us in finding local entertainment and also a 'couples massage' which we had after going horseback riding earlier in the day.Overall a 10 star establishment and you won't regret staying here!

My wife and I had a child free weekend and had to be in Wichita on business so we booked a room here. The service was very friendly, the breakfast was better than you could have gone out for, the room was comfortable. A really nice place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed Christmas Eve for a special night. Worst B&B experience I've ever had! (And I've had lots of experiences) The owner wasn't there. We were greeted at the door by a creepy guy. As he showed us to our rooms, he told us snippets about the other people staying. Such as, the ladies in this room didn't come home last night, but their stuff is still there. Once in the room (which is lovely, by the way), he informed us breakfast was in the mini-fridge. Having read extensive reviews from various sites raving about the fantastic breakfast, I was very confused. "Breakfast" turned out to be a stale roll, lowfat yogurt, a string cheese, a granola bar, and a Starbucks coffee drink. The guy didn't know the internet password, couldn't tell us very much about the house, and was, in general, very uncomfortable to be around. At checkout the next morning, we were informed that he needed to write down our credit card number to pay for the room. We had already paid/reserved online with our card. DO NOT GO THERE. Something fishy is going on and it is not pleasant.

The home and grounds are wonderul and interior just as beautiful. So that's not the issue. My fiance and I placed a $100 deposit to reserve a date in 2016, a whole year and some weeks prior to our wedding date. Ken Elliott gave us paperwork to complete for the date and said he would draw up a quote with pricing and such. Not only has he not responded to us about our contract, he also has yet to respond via phone or email about a refund. Due to life events and elderly family members, we're needing to get married closer to them and would like a refund. So not only is he rude, but also a thief.

I am not one to complain much.. but when you stay at a Bed and Breakfast... you pay the premium for a room to be a little bit spoiled that was not the case here..First off I called and inquired about room and never got the return call that he promised.. I then made a reservation for the Jordan room online and emailed asking about late checkout.. like it says on the website to do and never received a response. .. was met at the door by a gentleman named Ken that did not appear to think we were coming.. he then showed us around the house.. . mentioned it was our Anniversary...showed us our room which per the website has the following , Luxury linens and it's own private bath w/ a Kohler jacuzzi and rain shower. Other amenities include: Color TV w/ expanded cable & remote, mini-fridge w/ complimentary bottled water and sodas, coffee-maker, microwave, fresh flowers, Ghirardelli chocolates on pillows, high-speed wireless internet, Neutrogena bath products and complimentary breakfast-in-bed (on request). There were 3 stations.. no water in the fridge as it was unplugged .. we had to plug in due to the tv was also unplugged.. NO coffee maker .. no fresh flowers .. no Nutregena bath products.. as the bag that we had was a baggie with 69 cents written on the outside of it .. and empty bottles from other hotels. NO remote to the 13 inch TV. Unbeknownst to us.. My mom had called ahead and upgraded our room to include the anniversary package which per website is this :Overnight room for two with a premium king-size bed and luxury linens Festive anniversary decorations throughout the room including a "Happy Anniversary" greeting card from Serenity B&BA chilled bottle of champagne (and two champagne flutes) on ice waiting in the room on arrival (champagne can be substituted for another welcome beverage)An envelope of love poems discretely given to each person on arrival Two of Serenity's wonderfully indulgent late night desserts served with choice of beverages (another great photo opportunity)Beautiful breakfast-in-bed for two the next morningWe ask that each person secretly bring in a small gift. We'll discretely hide the gifts in the room, but each gift-giver will know the location of their gift. This makes for a fun surprise gift exchange. As this was a surprise from my Mom .. we did not know.. after she inquired if we had any of the things we were supposed to have.. she called and he was not at all helpful .. and did not want to fix this.. he did however bring us champagne an hour later.. none of the rest was even offered.. breakfast was brought to room but included a hair in my husbands omelet .. then we told them we wanted to leave we could not find KEN ( actually didn't see him again even though he was supposed to get us a key the previous night ) we called and asked for a receipt and he did not have one.. or was willing to give us one.. DO NOT STAY at this place... The house was beautiful but the service was awful.

On the first night we arrived, we ran out of toilet paper. When we told the owner, he handed us a box of Kleenex and assured us he would get more. We began having problems with the toilet and told the owner, he handed us a plunger. We never received TP until the morning we left, 3 days later. 3 days worth of dirty linens piled up in the bathroom and was never removed while we were there. There was Christmas decor up in the house (we arrived mid March). Artificial tree needles were everywhere and the floors were dirty. The breakfast table we ate at was never cleaned while we were there. Spilled coffee stains on the table cloth and spilled food left from the day before was not removed for the 3 days we were there. This Inn is not located in a good part of town. We saw numerous homeless people and woke up one morning to find someone going through the B&B's trash can. In that poor of neighborhood you would hope they would offer secure parking, which they had room, but never offered.

This place was terrible. I got my mom the wedding package. The package online is misleading and the owner would not compensate me for not having the room with the Jacuzzi available since the package was supposed to include that. The owner also made many assumptions (like not setting out the champagne, which I paid for) without asking my mom or her fiancé. He also charged me for a late check out fee even when my mom and her fiancé left early. He was rude to my in-laws who were going to check in early for my mom and her fiancé. He would not even open the door for them. Several things around B and B were disheartening: blanket to set apart the dining room, old and dusty fake silk flowers on the floor, and the room (which he showed me) was not clean after four hours after my mom and her fiancé left. I paid for three dozen fresh flowers but their were not three dozen flowers in the room, let alone fresh ones. He gave me about three dozen after I complained but they were not fresh (wilting and falling apart) and not the ones from the room. He also wrapped them in Christmas wrapping paper. Needless to say I would not recommend this place to anyone.
