Sand Burr RV Park is a nice secluded RV park almost on the water of Kaw Lake in North Central Oklahoma. They offer full hook up sites, all of them being "back in" sites. The sites are well maintained and reasonably priced. The grounds are well kept, The park owners are very friendly. The park does have some long term folks and all are friendly and helpful to novice campers. Boat Launching at Kaw Lake is only a few minutes away at COE facilities. The Park has clean restrooms and showers, a community freezer and ice is available on site. A Central Gathering picnic shelter is available for all the Campers and various goings on during the active months are held here.

We called in about a week ahead, to stay for 3 nights. Their website indicates "fire rings". not at site 19. Charcoal grills, not at site 19. The sewer was found under the leaves, with no cap, just a rock over it. The water spigot was in a valve box, buried in mud. When you pull in, there is no signage at all, no office, nothing. We drove around the loop once, then pulled up to the highway to call them. We were told to go to # 3 or 18. We couldn't get into # 3, and 18 was occupied. Then we were told to go to 19. After problems with the utilities, I called in, mentioned the water valve was buried in mud, was told " a few days ago someone left that had been there for a year had moved, and that's the way they left it". After I asked if someone could come dig out the water valve, it was suggested that I just go on to one of the other parks in the area, so that's what we did. Most of the sites were folks living there, this is a work-camp, not a campground. it was quiet, there are trees, the laundry and bathroom were ok, and there is a path to the lake. I suggest you stay elsewhere, they do not deserve your business.
