Rumor Mill

We ordered draft red beers. My husband got the boneless wings and I had a philly steak sandwich. It took only ten minutes to get our food. The meal was good and the beer was cold. We'll go there again.

This place is a "hidden gem" in small town America! The "Rumor Mill 2" in Osborne, KS was a pleasant surprise on our 12 day road trip. Although deceiving from the front (they need a new sign and are apparently expanding), it is a clean and pleasant establishment. Most importantly, the food was delicious, FRESH and inexpensive (we went twice as my boyfriend has family we visited in the town) and everything on the menu we tried was truly fantastic! Each day, they have a special listed on the board as well! The cook, "Irvin," was an extremely welcoming, animated professional, who is truly passionate about cooking! Everything he made was delicious! This restaurant/bar is your typical American comfort food establishment and it's a place you can bring children as well. The restaurant serves bottled beer and beer "on tap." I enjoyed 2 amazingly tasty "Blue Moons" with an orange! Delicious! I loved Kansas and in this town, it's the only place I'd stop; it's an easy and quick spot to stop for a fresh lunch, dinner or a great beer! (Just what you need when travelling!) Note: I am totally confused regarding the prior review on Yelp as we truly enjoyed it both times for a simple dinner or lunch. It was part of our lovely travels through middle America!

Construction worker staying in Osborne. Very friendly service day in and day out. Tried most of the menu. Food is prepared in a timely manner and never had a bad meal. This small town is very lucky to have this establishment.

Good food but a long wait. The kitchen was overwhelmed.One tip for them: a to-go order is your chance to stretch out the workload on the kitchen. Don't tell me 20 minutes and try to press your kitchen into fitting it in. If your kitchen is really busy, tell me (the to-go order) that it's going to be 45 minutes or an hour or something. I'd rather be told an hour and then go get the order in an hour and it's ready when I'm there than be told 15 minutes and then I go there in 15 minutes and have to wait another 15 minutes at the bar.I hope that makes sense. I'd be happier with the hour wait time if it meant the food was ready to go than with with a 30 minute wait time but it means it's chaos and I have to wait while the kitchen gets the food together.

Want a great burger or chicken stripes! How about the daily special!? The Rumor Mill s the place to go! Great food and service! Breakfast, lunch and dinner! This will place rocks!

If I could leave a negative review I would. Disgusting!! The cook was eating in the kitchen with gloves on but licked her fingers - gloves and all. Not just once but multiple times and multiple fingers. Just WRONG & VERY DISGUSTING. Don't go if you don't want extra germs.
