This was a quaint theater and it was clean and comfortable. The staff at the counter were kind and helpful.

My family and I really enjoy attending movies at this theater! It definitely takes you back to a simpler time and I think it's so fun to experience it as a family! Tickets and food prices are lower than your average theater experience, however, it may not be as big or new as some people like. For me, when the lights go down, it doesn't make a difference! They often have special nights where they show older movies if you are the nostalgic kind! They also are great for kids and always have something suitable playing!Overall, always an enjoyable experience and I look forward going there for years to come!!

The movie theater is not amazing - but what makes it worthy of your time? Simple. Great experience, VERY reasonable price (when you go to the movies, it's way overpriced and you are paying for it!).Do not hesitate to take your kids and family. You will not regret it!

I can't stand Regal, the manager is rude and the place is falling apart. I like this theater, I like that it's smaller and I like that there's limited staff. Prices are great and I like that they've kept their original building and I like the comfy old back in the day feel you got when you walk up to it.

We appreciate this theater for the lower ticket price. Yes, there is a unique odor to the older building, but it is clean. We have found the staff to be friendly. One time when we sat in the upper level I was cramped. The lower level is comfortable. I appreciate the fact that this theater has held showings designed for families with special needs children. It is not the place if you want to impress a date, but I am bringing my husband for his birthday. As I said at the beginning, we appreciate the prices.

There is one reason to go here. It's a great reason though. Once a year, the weekend after Halloween MoSo's theater department teams up with Rt 66 to bring Rocky Horror Picture Show to the screen as a fundraiser. Cheap admission, cheap prop bags, costumes galore, call outs... It's a helluva lotta fun and definitely worth it. Otherwise, the theater is small, dingy, has a dim projector and tinny speakers. But Rocky Horror. Don't miss it. You'll find me there every year in fishnets and a corset.

So it's not the Ritz or has the latest sound system or First Looks or whatever else. But it's a Fantastic Value for the money, the family and the fun! A single screen, clean RR and an amazing snack bar that outshines it's humble surroundings. The owners have done a remarkable job in saving the theater and making a great spot to take the family for a first run movie, a sneak peak (Guardians V2 was great!) or even a special event. This is our go-to theater for atmosphere, snacks and a good time. It makes the movies fun again!

This is the immediate Joplin area's only alternative to the high-priced Northstar theatre. Movies here are $5 and a large popcorn and a drink is less than $10. They only have one screen and the seating is a little cramped, but they show new releases for half the price of Joplin's theatre. Definitely check them out for an escape from the mainstream.

Dirty, cramped, and reminds me of the auditorium at the old South Middle School in Joplin (for those who wouldn't know, that's a bad thing). It's cheap enough, and I love the IDEA of an escape from high priced super-theaters. But the reality is, this place is a hole and I won't be returning. Another bad mark is the staff. We went to a charity event on a Saturday and they were surly at best. Not Webb City's finest establishment in my opinion.

I love this theater! It's affordable and the concessions prices are not inflated to astronomical proportions. Sure, it's not as nice and modern as northstar, but the historical charm and affordability more than make up for that. The only downside is that there is only 1 screen and they are only open on weekends and just do 1 show per day. So if they aren't playing something you want to see, tough luck. But they seem to keep a pretty good mix of shows from week to week. It's a great place to go out to a movie if you don't want to spend $45 on two tickets and a box of popcorn.
