Rooted Fair Trade

Connected Fair Trade is a really cute store on Poyntz downtown. We first discovered it last year during a Third Thursday, and I totally forgot about this place until my friend Melinda C. gave me a treble clef necklace from here for my birthday. I stopped by this past week to check it out. Upon entering, there are some really cute greeting cards. The front side also has purses, children's toys, and other home decor items. There are intricate baskets, scarves, and blankets. Towards the back, there are a few jewelry sections, clothing (women's dresses and tunics), hanging art and mirrors, and some food items and tea. The staff is very friendly. It reminds me a lot of the store 10,000 Villages as it supports artists directly for their craft. Shop local in more ways than one!
