Roller City

There are a lot of bad reviews for this place and I honestly don't know why. This is the only rink in town with a rink guard who actively keeps people safe. The price is amazing- 3 hours of skating for $3? I'm sure their operation costs are much higher than what they're pulling in. Yes, there are speed skating kids who are weaving in and out of traffic. But they're trained. They're not just going to fall down in front of you or cut you off in such a way that you can't stay on your feet. The floor isn't packed so I got to work on my artistic skating elements in the middle. I also felt safe enough to skate with the flow of traffic backwards. Most importantly, they change the skating direction so I get to work on my skating both ways. The floor is well maintained too. It's flat, it has a fresh coat of polish, and it's easy to skate on. I am going to be making it a regular place I skate, and can't wait to go back.

We have gone meany times on a Friday and sat night to skate . Well tonight we took some friends with us . She has never skated before . I have always walked around with my child to help her skate . I even have photos from a Friday night staking . Well I was told tonight that I was not aloud to walk around with my child . So we will not be going back here to skate again . And my child's school goes here as well . I will make sure to bring it up . I got my money back to my card but who knows when it will be back on my card . Cuz they use a Square. The Manager, the lady at the counter and the DJ were very rude. Tried to tell them that we have been here before skating on a Friday night and they chose to argue with me. They told me that I could skate with my 6 yr old . Sorry I can't skate due to my back . I don't Recommend anybody with children going here

I went here a few years ago, and never went back. The workers were terribly rude. They had terrible customer service. My friend was skating, and this one girl had tripped her purposely, so we went up to the front desk to complain. Apparently the girl that had tripped my friend her mother knew the workers, so the workers did nothing. The mother then proceeded to yell at my friend and I, and again the workers DID NOTHING. If you are thinking about wasting your money here, don't. Instead of going to Roller City, go to Carousel.

We absolutely love this skating rink! They don't tolerate any foolishness, which makes the atmosphere so welcoming! We've gone on weekends as well as the homeschool sessions and they've always treated everyone with the utmost of respect. Thank you for providing Wichita with a friendly place to "hang out"!!!

I went to Roller city to have fun with my friend. We are on summer break and it's hot so we dressed for the weather. As we entered the building and made our way to the front desk to pay, the lady didn't let us get a word in and tells us that we are not able to enter because of our tank top and spaghetti straps( not on a Friday or Saturday) they way she spoke with her tone was shaming and we didn't appreciate her raising her voice at us. We have never been here before so we didn't know that there was a dress code. If you are planning to come here please wear a shirt that is not cropped and short sleeve, or you will be sent out. Not a great experience for the first time. Disappointed!

AMAZING it's perfect it's not bad actually the change the way we skate in diffeeent directions races it's perfect would recommend

This place should be called roller prison, whoever is running this place has no idea what they're doing, customer service here is abysmal, they have one register in the concession stand and they're about maybe 75 to 100 people here, it takes a good part of an hour to get to the register. They have one soda machine that only takes cash, and the rest of the floor is dominated by video games, that no one is playing, I wish there was a rating for under one star but you know apparently that's all there is that's the lowest I can give you. Play social smells bad like they've been using the same water to clean it for a year.So now the problem is that their ATM isn't working they only have one so now I have to go out inside walk to the corner and go to the bank to get cash because their concession stand register doesn't take cards, please tell me that this is just a bad acid trip

Me and my two co workers were going here to have a fun time outside of work and hangout. My friend was wearing a perfectly conservative outfit. She was wearing Jean shorts that looked just fine. She had a tangtop on but she had a coverup on it so everything about her outfit was covered up and she looked perfectly fine. The lady at the front was complaining about her outfit and was being extremely rude about it. Meanwhile when we were in there, there were other girls in there with booty shorts on and everything about their outfit was inappropriate. When we went to leave the same lady was telling my friend about how she got many complaints about her outfit and how when she bent over her butt cheeks were out. First off my friend got so many compliments by so many people there saying she was pretty or her outfit was cute. Second off she never bent over once. I was with her the whole time and she never bent over once. Overall the workers were just straight rude and should have handled the situation in a nicer way. This was completely unacceptable and we will not be coming back ever.

I am temporarily disabled and was told by the owner that I could not skate with my mobility aid, but that wheelchairs and strollers were allowed on the floor. Another roller skating rink in Wichita, Carousel Skate Center, welcomed me. I was told by a customer of both rinks that Carousel Skate Center is a much nicer place to skate anyway. I am sad Roller City did not want me to skate there since it sounds like a nice rink especially with that wooden floor. If I ever return to Wichita I hope I can try Roller City out.

Will NEVER go back to roller city kids arent allowed to wear there shoes at all even if they are playing the games and spending money at there place its to prevent fights from happening the workers there are to busy flirting with all the teenage girls on the floor and not worried about kids getting pushed to the ground or ran over multiple times. Multiple fights and nasty and I mean NASTY language coming out of young kids mouths and im not the one to judge but holy moly I sure hope those kids dont talk to there mother with that much disrespect. Wasnt even there a hour before we felt we need to get all of our kids out of there. The guys that wears his suit with his nasty audited yelling at people while eating because they dont have there mask on when you can see everyone on the floor or running around without one jusg horrible all around
