This venue was aite. The bar scene is pretty good with a long bar full of great deals on weekend nights. The crowd is a bit weird which consists of teenie boppers, hip hop fans, rock fans, mid 50 yr olds, latinos, etc. The DJ was also playing 70% hip hop which was great but didn't feel comfortable due to the crowd. I did my part and represented The Bay Area on the dance floor. I was dancing having a great time and meeting new people. It was fun!I didn't enjoy how the security kept telling me to tuck in my gold chain when everybody was dressed poorly and ragged?!?! like wtf? oh and also the DJ sucked.. he needs to update his music selection lol

Really enjoyed girls night at Revolution! Got there early (8:30pm) and nearly had the place to ourselves. Made friends with the bar tender and ordered a round of the specialty Dream Sickle type orange cocktail. Followed it up with another fruity cocktail with dragonfruit vodka that our bartender whipped up on the spot. We passed some time in the back playing pool and a mini beer pong arcade game. As people started trickling in, we were just getting comfortable enough to hop on the raised catwalk and dance on the two 7ft stripper poles. By 11:00pm the place was packed! Plenty of entertainment by just people watching between the poles and the dance floor. Spent about $70 for several rounds over 5 hours.

There's no dress code unless it's a special event that hardly ever happens. The security in this place is faaaaar better than anywhere else downtown. I go here almost every night after work for a night cap. The bad reviews about not letting someone in means they were a bit wild or too drunk. They don't charge to let people in on a typical night. Fights rarely happen and when they do, they are quickly handled. This is a great place to check out and visit. Bartenders are great and accommodating. Will keep going here again and again.

Drink prices - fairDress code - unclearLocation- goodOverall - I don't recommend, the music is cool, but security is overkill. So you can have a trucker/baseball hat,but not a beanie. And no one can explain why?

I'll add this place to the list of places to never check out when I go back to Wichita. Assaults happen here without any sort of security concern. Protect the assailant, maintain as positive of a public image as you can I guess. Also, to make sure this review is seen as legitimate - the bar was SLOW, they were understaffed, drinks came with the ice almost completely melted, the "food" doesn't actually even exist and there was a foul smell of something I can only describe as similar to bull shit. Literally.

The original owner has sold this club to the owner of Finn's. We returned to Revolution to see what changes were made. We originally were excited, as many changes that would bring in frequent female customers were put into effect. For example, the girls no longer are wearing lingerie-esque clothing that would intimidate many women from returning. It seems more appropriate for club wear. We were informed the club was now going to be more of a Rock-Country mix, bringing something to the downtown district that is lacking. My brother and I were excited to hear the changes were going into effect, and that it would stay within the rock-club niche. The down side is that with the loss of the prior owner, several of the girls quit and so the staff did an almost complete change. That being said, it seems like the place is definitely on an upturn. Our drinks were replaced with some urgency, and the staff seems more customer focused than previous occasions. There was one occasion where we showed up and the dj played over an hour of hardcore rap. His music didn't flow, and his transitions were at time sharp cuts in both song and time. Nothing will irritate a rock fan more than going to a rock club and hearing less than 25% of the type of music that they came there to hear. We complained to the staff, and on one occasion were notified that it was a change in ownership and several changes were happening with the club. This change fit no where near what we thought it was going to be, or for that matter, no where near what we were told by the new owner the prior week. Let me be clear, I don't hate rap, and I kind of expect it of a club scenario. (Lets be honest, who doesn't enjoy the occasional rap classic like California or Sir Mix Alot?) But in a rock club it should be less than 20% of the mix.We notified the staff of our displeasure, and were notified by the staff that they would let the owner know. The following week we were told by the owner that indeed the DJ was not in line with what the club was intending to play, and that the club is most definitely going to be a rock club. The DJ for that night was phenomenal, pumping out jams and keeping people in the music. Since that incident, the club has played consistently more to the theme. We've gone there quite a few times and I've seen the scene get consistently better. People are starting to show, and the word is starting to spread. I'm sure this will be a destination spot as the weather improves.

One of my favorite bars to hang out at in Old Town! The decor of the bar is different from any other place in town. The vibe is very hip and the stage in front of the bar provides for great entertainment when other patrons climb up to dance. The music is typically Top 40 hits with some throwbacks and there's almost always a great DJ on the tables. The bar staff is fast and friendly and the drinks are delish. The bar always has great drink specials too! Ask for the Ron Baker, a sweet and delicious shot created by a Revolution bartender inspired by a local Wichita icon!

Absolutely terrible. I can't believe how demanding the bartenders were. I will not be talked to like that again.

This is the worst bar in Wichita. Staff and management is rude. Male bouncers are aggressive without warning, put their hands on women, and throw punches at customers. Highly recommend avoiding this place, not worth dealing with the shady crowd and unsafe environment.
