Red Fox Winery & Vineyards

Pleasant surprise on our way home to Springfield.Delicious food, great service and cherry on top was talking with Nick. He shared about his Armenian grandmother and the heritage that produced his delicious dishes. What a treat!

I totally forgot to take pictures of the food as it was so so good that I enjoy it and forgot to post ;) the family that owns the place is amazing! The dad that run the kitchen he is passionate about every flavor he put out of that kitchen and let me tell you the freshness of it, the flavor that he brings is an experience! The wine is so good! We can see the knowledge of the owner about doing his wine and every flavor! You have to try the Chambourcin the flavor, the fragrance is top notch! We would be back this is going to be our new favorite place to hang out!!! AmaIng services!!!

Just gorgeous! Really good pizza and sandwiches. I really liked the house white wine. We sat outside on a beautiful day and can't imagine it being any better!

Absolutely fabulous location. Great food. Accommodating staff. Outstanding wine. I recommend either thr Truman Red or Truman White.

I'd give 0 stars if I could. Service was horrible!!Walked in. No one there. Asked for a tasting at 2pm on Sunday (not busy looking) and told would be "shortly." When followed up with "how long"? Told 45 minutes!!! Table beside us also complaining at same time "been waiting an hour for a bottle of wine" and couple that they "would like to pay NOW". Should've walked out then... NEVER not left a tip, but did not here as EVERYONE (except the chef, because the food was honestly decent), was just bad. Have been to over 20 Missouri wineries this last year and half. It was a complete Sh*t show here. You'd think they just opened.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. We have brought our 9 yr old golden retriever here several times. This time the winery dog ATTACKED our dog and bit part of her ear off. When I attempted to talk with the owners, they told us we should not have brought our dog even though we had repeatedly been told our dog is okay and we have seen other dogs here. The owners were INCREDIBLY rude and gave zero concern for our welfare. While we have had fine experiences in the past, we will no longer come here for their mediocre wine and horrible hospitality.

We decided to try this winery today, and we ended up leaving after a simple glass of wine. We are not sure if it was the "owner", or who she was, but she was the most rude person that we have EVER experienced at a restaurant, or winery. We initially sat at the bar, and she explained that they don't serve food at the bar. No worries at that point, so we found a table for 2, and looked at the wine and food menu. We decided not to eat, so we sat back at the bar to enjoy a couple glasses of wine. She proceeded to ask her ONLY server to tell us to leave the bar and go back to our table. We paid our bill for less than one drink, and left immediately. We felt so bad for the waitress, and we gave her our cash tip straight to her to make sure she actually got it. Worst Sunday winery experience we have ever had.

Please don't waist your time or money. The place smells like mold, the staff are rude. TV blaring over the speakers. Our food was frozen in the middle.

My boyfriend and I re-visited Red Fox Winery & Vineyards on the July 5th - 6th 2024 weekend. It had been a few years since we had been there. They have built a larger restaurant building with a covered patio area with celling fans to move the air. The building is beautiful and the view of the flower/herb garden and many many rows of fruit vineyards was a beautiful site too. The weather was just perfect that weekend and the fans were not needed but nice they are available. We did a wine tasting and received two full size wine glasses....very nice and then we had an appetizer as we just stopped in on our way to another destination. And I must say the food was great too and was the wine !! I diffently want to go back. The only other thing that I can see at this time to improve this place to draw more people to visit is if they could occasionally have live music come in.

First timers. my husband And I stopped on way to lake. was initially greeted by a nice older gentleman who was very welcoming, but when we went into the main space for the tasting, the woman who served us never smiled, never engaged in any type of conversation I tried to draw her out with some conversation about the winery and got very little information. Some of the wines were actually pretty good, but we would not stop again. Somebody else needs to be in charge of customer service! Needless to say, we did not leave with any bottles of wine.
