Red Bird Sandwich

The soup was really delicious! The cheeseburger my husband ordered was equally so. It was wonderful to enjoy the fresh flavors and vibrant energy of the staff and decor. I would go again alone or with friends. Such a great little sandwich shop.

A smaller spot but high top, table, booth, and bar seating available. We started with the wedge fry appetizer, recommend asking for all the dips/condiments- makes it a fun experience! Our server recommended the Roadrunner salad and it was a great! I added grilled chicken and it was worth it- they give you an ample portion and it was very flavorful. I recommend keeping the Jalapeño ranch, their traditional ranch dressing has a strong parsley flavor. We had the chicken nugget kids meal at our table as well and it's homemade nuggets and 1-2 apples worth of slices. The chicken noodle soup was not for me, but I know is for someone, it's hearty but kind of smoky/earthy flavored.

I just wanted to say the owner of Red Bird is absolutely amazing! I took another friend for her first time as we were between meetings for a late lunch. I've been trying to get something different every time I visit because so far everything has been amazing. The food has always been fantastic and the vibe here is awesome. I had my first thing here that wasn't good, however, when I told the owner about the dry meatballs, and that this was the first item I didn't care for, he was quick to make up for it and even sent me out the door with a Cuban sandwich. I know every place can have an off day when it comes to food, and hey meatballs are pretty tricky for a lot of people. I will come back and give the meatballs a second chance, and I will continue to bring my friends in to my favorite sandwich place! I definitely will be trying more salads here because my friends salad was epic! I don't know what kind of tea this was but I loved it, great citrus notes, perfect on a cold day. Thank for a positive experience and for saving the day! The world would've been an unhappy place had I not eaten ahead of my meeting. Oh yeah! The pickles are to die for!

I do not live in Wichita but my son and daughter-in-law do and they took us here for dinner! I personally am not a sandwich eater but I ordered the chicken salad sandwich- the half!!! It was so delicious I ordered the other half! The drinks/beers are also very good- highly recommend this place!

Found that Redbird was finally open so I stopped by for lunch just before the holidays. I was surprised by the size of this place, it's very open with room to move around the tables. If you drink they do have a bar. The entire place is clean, including the bathroom.Upon entering we were greeted by the hostess and directed to place our takeout order at the bar. The person working at the bar was very nice as well as knowledgeable. Ordering was a quick process. Since it was late in the afternoon our wait was short, maybe 10 minutes. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and fries. Both were tasty. The only problem was that the sandwich wasn't pressed like most Cuban sandwiches though it is in pictures I saw in blogger articles. While a bummer this sandwich hit the spot! The fries were definitely delicious and thick.

Red Bird is definitely a favorite whenever we are eating out. It's a casual restaurant with a full bar. The bar has a couple of televisions if you want to drop by to sit at the bar, have a sandwich and beer and watch the game. The pull for us is both the service and the food. The menu is creative and everything we've had has been great...there's been nothing that we wouldn't order again. The staff, too, is wonderful...friendly and attentive (without being overly so). We definitely recommend Red Bird to others.

A local friend of mine took me here as this place only recently opened. I am so appreciative of his restaurant acumen as this place is a hidden gem!Trendy with a class of modern style, Red Bird offers sandwiches based, well, on birds. Study the menu well, my friend, as any of these sandwiches will rock your palate. I originally went with the Cuban Trogon, but they were out of ham, so I went with the backup plan of having the Cardinal. It was just as good an option!Service is wonderful, prompt, and friendly. Do not let another day go without giving this place a try! You'll probably see me in there again!

So glad I tried this place! Ordered the half Wren (Wagyu Beef) and wedge fries. Requested the homemade jalapeño ranch for the fries, great combo. The sandwich was so flavorful, left me wishing I had ordered a whole. The freak sour beer was a good compliment to the meal. Service was friendly and food came out quickly!

Epic sandwiches. Wish I'd found it sooner. Carefully curated menu. Wonderful attention to detail. ...just a sandwich shop? Nope. This place stands out.

Really cool with good vibes casual dining experience. Food was great. I had the Cuban and my wife had the Bobwhite. Mine was awesome and my wife said hers was, as well. Server was attentive but took a little longer to receive our food than I expected but it was served hot! Will definitely be back!
