Went in with no expectations and walked out in awe! The additive free tequila selection was top notch. So many rare and hard to find bottles. Great employees who took the time to speak with me and engage. If you're in Wichita, this is a must-visit, especially for tequila lovers.

Great service, I asked a few questions about bourbon and was also give a taste test of a few to see if I liked them. Also signed up for the Customer program. Prices were pretty decent also. Definitely will be back. Thank you

R&J is one of my favorite booze holes in the ICT.Overall as a whole, they have some of the best or at least competitive prices that I've found in town. Wine selection is decent, with hearty clearance end caps, I typically walk out with at least one bottle of 'grape juice' that I didnt know I wanted.Liquor also has a decent selection and my preferences of the ol liquid courage are almost always beating or at least tying anybody in a 5 mile radius. The beer cooler is kept cold and stocked. And the staff is usually helpful and friendly, even when there is one posted at the door to deter would be shoplifters. Be sure and check out their "Wall Of Shame" on the way out, looks like the staff enjoys some excellent people watching. So its Monday morning and I'm Yelping about a liquor store, in fact, for whatever reason I might Yelp about my other fav place this morn. Why is this significant? Two weeks ago I decided I have a drinking problem, I have sought & found help and havent touched The Sauce since. I wont be the same customer at R&J I was because I dont want the devastating effects of Alcohol Abuse anymore. I have lost very important relationships through alcohol abuse and avoided my own personal issues that I need to face and address properly. While I do endorse R&J, I dont endorse the over consumption of one of the most powerful, legal, life ruiners I personally know of.Have a problem using or abusing? Get help. I did, even at the most desperate hour in my life. Call Comcare Addiction Treatment Services at (316) 660-7550 and at least open your mind to the possibility of talking to someone about your problem. Will I be booze free forever? Nope. In time and with lots of new structure in my life, I would like to be able to guilt free enjoy a social drink with friends. But that isn't a option for everyone, everyone deals with addictions or influences differently. Be safe Guys

Twice I've taken an item to cashier, and am told the price marked was incorrect. (Of course the "real price" was much higher.) Their comment was "someone must have made a mistake",and they expected me to pay that higher price. I did.. but no more. It's not good business to not honor an incorrectly priced item. I'll shop where there is better business practice.

R & J is your friendly neighborhood liquor store. It's one of the only ones near downtown so they stay pretty busy. For being a pretty small place they have a big variety of craft beer, wine and everything else you might want. If they don't have something specific that you're looking for they're usually happy to order it for you. R & J has very reasonable prices, it's usually cheaper than anywhere else. The employees are knowledgable, friendly, and efficient. On busy days there is usually a line to check out but it always moves quickly. There is also a smoke shop attached with a variety of e-cig supplies, cigarettes and other things of the sort.

This is my friendly neighborhood Liq, and I love this place. It was only after the guys started calling my brand of bourbon to me as I approached the counter that I decided perhaps I shouldn't frequent R&J as much. But of course, that's more a reflection of my hobbies and not the level of customer service R&J provides.Although I always prefer giving this business my business because of the excellent service, wine specials and selection, we also recently happened upon a hell of a deal at R&J:They have significantly cheaper New Belgium Lips of Faith series bottles than any other place in town. And I probably shouldn't be telling you this, because I'm pretty sure my boyfriend secretly plans to buy out their supply. And, as R&J is situated precisely between the charming College Hill and the less savory "Uptown" neighborhoods, the people watching here is off the hook.

Bad service. They insisted that everyone who was in our car come in with their ID's or they would refuse to service us. One person did not have their ID, but was very much of legal age. It wasn't even about the action itself, but also the extreme lack of customer service. I for one, will never spend a dime here again.

Great neighborhood liquor store. I'm not sure whether to feel safe or scared that they post a security-type employee at the entrance at all times. Decent selection of liquors and wines (all though I rarely venture out of the Pinot Noir section), and a nice wine SALE shelf in the back. Pleased that they began carrying more than one type of gluten free beer - as of this week they have New Grist (a nice lighter, summer beer), Bards (a heavier, darker beer), New Planet Raspberry (New Planet is good for any occasion), one from Spain that the Anchor sells but I don't care for, and a few singles I didn't remember the names of. They've also expanded their Cider Beers (naturally gluten free) to include my personal favorite Strongbow, Angry Orchard, Woodchucks, and more. Good selection there. My only request would be that they carry more of the New Planet varieties, but again I'm thrilled they have both New Grist and Bards - especially for the size of this store.Parking lot is small, but staff is quick, helpful and friendly.
