Great donuts the only the issue they do popular is getting there in time for the donuts you want. Interior lacking but the donuts are great.

Many donut places are simply matters of proximity - you just go to whichever one is closest to you, and chances are it'll turn out pretty good. It's hard to screw up a donut.Prairie Donuts takes the place of a former Squeek's; I knew because the coffee maker was still labeled as such. I think the donuts might be a little more expensive than the average, but they're broken into two prices tiers - regular and fancy. The former is a small collection of various frosted yeast donuts, and the ones on which I nibbled (mostly just a few donut holes that were thrown in to the box when I built my dozen) were good enough. The fancy varieties are considerably larger items like apple fritters and pine cones - large donuts shaped, unsurprisingly, like a pine cone. I don't know if this is a prevalent item in Wichita's donut shops, but it's the first time I saw one, and others who noticed someone eating one were quick to show their surprise, too.The donuts are kind of just piled into a box, not doing much for the presentation, but the lady manning the empty store's register was quite nice, and it's clear that she probably wasn't in any danger of running out of business any time soon.

I really want to like this place because it is so close to home for me. I just can't though. The lady who works here is so nice and really seems like she likes her job. The facility is clean but I just don't like the donuts.

There are only a few Donut shops that capture my taste buds nor come close to matching the shops I've visited out west. With my coworkers they always ask where I get my donuts when I bring in a dozen o two boxes. I always recommend Prairie.though be warned if you show up late near the afternoon or closing time. Most if not almost all of the donuts are sold out. being the local shop opens at 4:30am you might want to stop by in the morning commute or if your free.I must add,A nostalgia of the old, or maybe the rich fluff of a good well made donut from soy. Takes practice over time. While Prairie Donuts is by no means fancy, its what some would consider a small one of kind business that gets the job done.being from the Bay Area of California, traveling to Oregon, Washington, Texas, Florida has afforded me the opportunity to have the chance to eat and try a variety of donuts.

Not enough icing, all bread and no flavor. Worst donuts ever. I was hopping they were going to be good due the closeness of my work, but no. I have to drive a few miles longer to Krispies to get a good donut drenched in icing.

I truly think this donut shop is a gem. Good thing it's not close to me or else I would be coming often. I got a dozen in the morning before I made it to work and had my coworkers tried them and they all said that the glazed, chocolate and maple donuts were fluffy and fresh. Price is a lot cheaper than LaMar.

Went to get donuts at 5:45 am on a Monday and the place was not even open. Their times say open at 4:30am. But not a single light on.
