So much selection! Plenty of hidden gems to dig for in their back issue stock. New comics every week! Love the staff - definitely a Wichita staple!

The staff is very polite and knowledgeable. The store is clean. I collect silver and bronze age comics. They have quite a lot of back issues to order. I will always go to this store first before anywhere else.Great Job!

Not a terrible comic shop, and the staff is friendly. however, the organization is poor and most of the store is packed full of tables for playing M:TG and long box after long box of back issues that no one ever seems to buy. Although the staff is friendly if you engage them, in the 50 or so times I've been in the store I have never once been asked "can I help you?" or "is there something in particular you're looking for?" they mostly stay behind the counter in their own little world. The atmosphere is exactly what you would expect a comic book shop to look like... in the 90s. Florescent lighting, old dirty carpet, dingy DAV style shelving, dusty displays with hand written signage, and the distinct scent of BO.All in all, it's an ugly store with a friendly but unhelpful staff, all the trappings of the comic book store stereotypes, and an average selection of products. If you know what you're looking for and are OK with the rundown vibe, this is a serviceable place to go. If you're looking for a modern comic book shop, you'll be severely disappointed.

This comic store is the best in Kansas. The staff is actually knowledgeable, friendly, and it looks like they keep up with the store. I've traveled all across America from Mile High in Colorado to Lone Star in Texas and this one is one of the most well kept and categorized stores out there. You can tell that they focus on the comic portion of the business, but leave ample space for the other components of geek-hood (Magic, D&D, etc.). I was incredibly happy with this stores focus, customer service, and selection. I love that they keep issues from 2-3 months back (or longer) on the shelf in case you've missed something or want to start a new title but may have missed the jumping on point. Awesome job guys, keep it up.

I recently started collecting comics, well a specific series. I called and asked and they said, 'If we had it, it would be in our warehouse.'. No big deal. I left my name and number and they said they would call. A week goes by and nothing so I call back get the same thing. Another week still nothing. You would think in this economy they would be eager to help customers buy...obviously they don't need customers that bad. I took my business to another shop.

While this is an amazing place to peruse and buy both old and new comics, its other offerings are not worth the trip. Sure, I get it, it's a comic book store, they sell comic books, everything else is secondary. That would be fine, except that they also advertise themselves as being a store for role-playing and table-top games. This is why I went to Prairie Dog Comics. But when I got there, I was utterly disappointed. They have a small selection of Steve Jackson games, a few Risk sets, and a couple other obvious choices that are sold, for less money, at any Barnes & Noble. As far as Dungeons and Dragons goes, and this was my real pursuit, they have almost nothing. They've got the three core books for 4th edition and that is it. No 3rd edition, no 2nd edition, and none of the extra materials. Shit, they didn't even sell dice. What kind of place posts a sign boasting of housing D&D encounters and then doesn't sell a damn thing a serious D&D'er would be interested in? When I asked about 2nd edition stuff, I was told that they might have some in "the warehouse." Riiight... I'll go ahead and hold my breath. Considering the ample amount of empty space in the storefront, I'm guessing this warehouse is as fantastical as the comic books they sell. Oh well. I won't be back, but that's mostly because I don't read comics. If you do, you should find a pretty good selection here, although I can't weigh in on the prices.

The staff is nice and helpful, and they have a good selection. Pretty well organized. It's easy to order and reserve comics. Some decent action figures and collectibles.
