I called the store because I was looking for a specific oval setting that could hold a 4 ct oval diamond. The lady that answered sounded almost confused to talk to me. She said they do a lot of custom but she would need measurements, so I asked if they had any kind of warranty on their jewelry since more than likely it would be custom. She literally asked "warranty on what?" I said "um on your jewelry"? She then proceeded to ask if I was in the system and seemed very confused that I was asking this question. Honestly unfortunately with the experience I had over the phone I won't be coming in. The customer service was definitely not good.

I stopped to get some watch batteries replaced. The service was amazingly fast and I also bought myself a new watch from a great saleslady, I did not get her name, and left a satisfied customer!There are several eateries located nearby to grab a bite while you are waiting but they are so fast, you might not need this tip.

My family has long trusted Powell for our fine jewelry. We always get new watch batteries here as they have lifetime batteries that can be replaced. They are very friendly and don't pressure you into any type of purchases.

Stopped by Powell Jewelry while visiting a friend in town, looking for a necklace for my grandmother. They had an excellent selection and their prices were fair. More than what I would pay at Wal-Mart or something of course, but the quality you could tell was fantastic. The staff was especially helpful and I went ahead and got my watch battery replaced too. I don't live in Wichita, but I highly recommend Powell for anyone who does when looking for high quality jewelry and great service!

I have never been treated so poorly by a jeweler! I needed to get my ring resized and a new head put on my three-quarter carat Center-stone. They asked how much the ring was worth, then wanted to argue about that value, she offered an $800 value. I would like to see one of their .80 carat G, VS diamonds sell for $800. To put a higher value they demanded to see paperwork proving the value. I went to my vehicle to get the paperwork, and when I came back to the door I was locked out.They did let me back in, but at this point the whole experience was so yucky I ended up leaving in disgust.You know that scene in pretty woman where the rude sales people wouldn't help her... it felt a lot like that! In the near future we will be upgrading to a carat and a half Center-stone. So all I can say is "Big Mistake, Huge!"

My husband and I went in to look for a new wedding ring for me, being that mine was falling apart. They helped me find a ring that could also have parts of my original ring in it as well. I was told it would be a week and got it back in 3 days and I can't stop smiling about it! Thank you all, you made my year!
