I've had Lisa do two shellac manicures at this point, and I've been very pleased each time. The shop is cute and clean, which goes a long way in my book. They also had good color options for shellac. Lisa is very precise and detail oriented, so I've always walked away with a very clean looking manicure. Love this place!

In August, we had a friend come visit, and wanted to do a girls' day out. Another friend had seen an ad in Splurge magazine, and thought maybe we should give Polished a try. I called to make an appointment only two days in advance, and they were very helpful over the phone despite my not being 100% sure what level of service the other girls were going to want. The said I could call back and update if I found out that we were going to need more time. After making the appointment and confirming with the others, I realized that the time was too early, so I called back to change the appointment time. They were able to switch around the time even though they already had a busy afternoon schedule. I was a little nervous that we were going to have to wait on a group before us and then be rushed around so that we were done in time. I was pleasantly surprised. We only had to wait a little while for our pedicures to have three chairs available so we could all be started together. To make the best use of space, the chairs are all placed in the corners of the room instead of a row. This meant that the ones next to me were a little farther away than I am used to for conversation, but it also meant that we didn't have to crane our necks or talk across each other for all of us to chat. The massage chairs were very nice and there was a table for each chair so we had a place to set our drinks or phones. We each got the Polished level pedicure which includes essential nail care, an exfoliating scrub and a massage, and polish for $35 each. The manicure station is set up in the more traditional way, where the tables face the same direction in rows. I tried a matte polish since I was curious and I was pretty sure I was going to ruin it before I got home anyway (no fault of the tech, I just always mess up my manicures), and was not impressed, but the other girls nails looked great when they were done. We got the Essential level manicure which is just the basics for $20 each (though I at least did get a nice massage). The only negative that I really noticed was that the tech who did one of my friend's mani/pedi was apparently in a rush to leave as her manicure was much shorter than the other two of us and the tech actually left before my friend's polish was dry without even saying goodbye to her. One of the other techs noticed that she was still sitting there and checked on her and got her shoes and purse for her.Additional Pros: Bottled Water, Military Discount, Comfortable/Homey Atmosphere, Pick Your ScentWe could also hit a poke stop every 5 minutes while having our pedicures (if you're in to that sort of thing).

The place was cozy and the nail technicians were kind. Everything appeared new and very clean. However, the place was disorganized. Our nail techs did an adequate job of painting our toes, but gave a mediocre scrub and massage. This wouldn't be a big deal, except that we spent extra money for the service. The chairs are spaced across the room from each other, not side by side. Not a problem if you're by yourself. But it made conversing with my friend difficult. I wanted girl time with my friend, to talk with her without the entire salon hearing the conversation. At the end of the pedicure, presumably the owner or manager all but kicked us out. She was vocal in telling the employees to clean up so they could "finish up and go home." I felt obligated to leave even though my nails were tacky. My friend and I were stunned when we heard them lock the door behind us, and we weren't the last ones out!! We paid almost double what an average deluxe pedicure would cost. Unfortunately it was a let down and overall, not worth the extra money.

Polished. is truly a unique nail experience in Wichita, KS. They have some of the best nail technicians in Wichita with one of the most comfortable spaces around! I am definitely going to try one of their private spa rooms on my next visit!

This is my first-ever Yelp review and I wanted to let y'all know about this gem because it truly was a unique experience! After dining at Abuelo's the other day, I caught a pretty font out of the corner of my eye. My friend and I were looking for a nail salon while we were in town, so we ventured in to Polished. It was my friend's very first pedi, so I wanted it to be special for her. We walked in and WOW, it was so clean and beautifully decorated! There was no hint of that chemical smell that is typical in other nail salons. Everything from the mani stations to the foot baths looked so inviting. Lisa (the owner) and Jessica did a wonderful job - they were very friendly and gently pampered our feet. It was an unforgettable experience for us and we will definitely be back again!

Disorganized, overpriced and my nails looked terrible when my shellac manicure was finished. I was also disgusted that they don't use a new set of tools for each customer. That's very unsanitary.
