Easy to trade and a great variety of clothes for teens and 20-somethings. Yelp wants more words, but I have said it all already.

Dropped some clothes today not really expecting much about what they'd take or not. The girl at the door was very pleasant as she greeted me and asked me fill out a form and that I have to be in the store while they check out my items. It was rather a pleasant experience as the manager explained the cost of the items she's buying from me and the reason why they wouldn't take the rest of the clothes. It's pretty plain and simple. They'll buy clothes they know they can sell based on their clientele, of course. The store was very clean, the clothes are sorted accordingly and the girls are very friendly!

So I am starting to clear out the closet of My wife's clothes (she passed away). I took a large bin to Platos Closet to sell, and they didn't take a single article of clothing! Some BS that the clothes did not meet teen criteria, and the tags were old! What a bunch of crap! I would bet money that if a younger lady took these clothes in, they would buy some! Those who knew my wife, knew that she had great style and could doll up and give any teenie bopper a run for their money! Some of the staff were nice, so Platos Closet avoided one star!

I always find something at Plato's! Be it a purse or clothing, there's something there for everyone and it's all in very good condition! My boyfriend has also found some really nice shirts for amazing prices! I get decent $$$ for the clothing, purses, shoes, ect that I bring in also so it's really just a great place!I also think it would be a great place to work, being that the store hours arent bad and you get first dibbs on all the incoming clothing [:

Worse place to sell your clothes. I came in with 2 bags of clothes (workout clothes, basic clothes, denim jeans). I was told that it would take 30-35 mins. I stood there for an hour and saw an employee holding a pair of shoes, walking around the store asking other employees about how much money they should buy it for, saying its not even worth $10, they joked around that it was worth $5. HOW IS NIKE FREE RUNS WORTH $5? Seeing them laugh and joke around behind the cash register made me so angry and disrespected. In the end, they only took 5 items out of 2 bags of clothes. Overall I wouldn't waste my time there. And to have them come up with excuses saying they have too much work out gear and my clothes aren't good enough is unprofessional from the employees and the store as a whole.

Whatever 2 white teenagers who were working today (1/12/24) at around 8pm were snickering at my mom and younger sibling while they were shopping because those workers thought they weren't speaking English. My younger sibling and mother were also the only customers in the store at the time. Train your workers properly and don't hire people who think it's ok to be disrespectful (and frankly, racist) while on the clock, because it says a lot about your establishment and the kind of atmosphere you are breeding by hiring workers who can't even do their jobs diligently and who don't treat their paying customers with respect. To those teenagers, did your parents raise you to be like that? Or do you just think disrespecting people is "cool" or "funny?" Your hearts are impure and your actions reflect that. Be better.

When selling clothes they claim they cannot take certain things yet, I see a dirty shoe.... on the bottom covered in dirt for $20. Like are you serious? I'm pretty sure most of the employees take items for themselves and take them for a lower price. I would say the only person who knows some actual sense is the young gentleman that works there. Understanding clothes instead of top dollar profit. I sell vintage clothes online and have experience knowing what's fair/reasonable when reselling online based on resell cost. Overall whoever is the owner needs to retrain their staff because sadly they are not on the same page.

While in the store, the employees explicitly said they were stealing any donation clothes that they wanted for themselves. If you're looking to donate your clothes I would look elsewhere.

Service was decent and professional but its was a small store with alot of people and rows could only fit like 1 person so i dont recommend going but they do have bad and good clothes there.

I wish I could give 0 stars. I really tried to give Platos Closet one more try and I regret wasting my time going back. I tried selling some clothes that I had in previous years bought at other platos closets and other good quality stores. I watched her go through my clothes and she looked at maybe 3 pieces before her friend came over and she put it all back in the bin and started taking to her friend. Minutes later she called my name and said she couldn't take any of my clothes because of quality and style. I told her she barely looked at it and she rolled her eyes at me and then went back to complaining to her friend about the fact that she didn't want to be there and was called in that morning. I grabbed my clothes and will never be going back. I used to love going to platos.
