Typical small town cafe. Great waiter, Carter. Smiles!!!!Bacon, poached and fried. Great. Bacon and sausage. Great.You get the picture. Hunting territory and interior.

Less than a mile off the highway this diner is worth the trouble of navigating the roundabouts. We had a deluxe omelet and a western omelet. Both were delicious. The fruit compote was fruit cocktail and was surprisingly good. The restroom was clean and spacious. Service was friendly. Recommend to travelers.

Pheasant Run is a hidden gem! We were seated immediately, and our waitress was both friendly and efficient, keeping our coffees filled throughout the meal. The food was outstanding--pancakes, French toast, hash browns, and bacon were all cooked to perfection. A five-star experience from start to finish!

3.5 stars! Our boys loved their waffles and blueberry pancakes! They loaded up the blueberry pancakes nicely with blueberries. Our server was attentive and the food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The veggie omelet was also nicely loaded up with veggies, but cheese was sparse. No stringy lines of cheese when you cut into it. :( Also don't think my omelet had any seasoning on it. My hash browns were nice and crispy though as a previous yelper noted which was delightful! :) My husband's weren't crispy at all...they were a bit mushy. He also didn't care for his biscuits and gravy and said it tasted bland. So hits and misses with some of the items.Liked the simple decor and that everyone in the restaurant was nice and seemed to be working as a team. One of the other servers helped replenish our waters throughout the meal, and the person clearing tables was doing a great job. There were only two parking spots available when we pulled in, so thankful to have found parking based on a prior review. It's a good sign when the parking lot is full! :)So, a solid 3.5 stars. Good place to grab a simple breakfast with friendly service.

This is an honest to goodness local diner with great homemade food. I had the corned beef hash and it was really good! They have a local host sauce, "Gunslinger", that was a great addition and they also sell it. I'd recommend stopping in for some great food, service, and hot sauce!!!

Where to start: Pros: the hostess was wonderful and did a fantastic job navigating the busy Sunday morning brunch rush. The bacon was perfectly cooked and the pancakes were delicious. Cons: our waitress (middle aged caucasian woman with short dark pixie cut) asked every table around us a dozen times how they were doing, if they needed anything, and immediately responded with a smile. I just wonder why my girlfriend and I didn't receive the same service? We would ask politely for something as simple as a straw and never receive it, had to attempt multiple times to get her attention for refills, and never once was asked if we were ok or needed anything. Being that it's 2022 it couldn't have possibly been that we were a lesbian couple, so I wonder did she hate the black shirt I was wearing, the glasses on my face, or the smell of my perfume because all of those seem as ridiculous as refusing to serve us or making a quick judgment because of who I was sharing that breakfast with.

It's a good thing I don't live in town, or I'd end up eating here every day. It's the perfect American style breakfast, for a great price.Looks like the small hole in the wall place that it is, but do not be deceived!! The menu is simple, and they do everything on it well. Pancakes were light, fluffy, and delicious. The hash browns were crispy and delicious. The ham was moist, and not over cooked.

Good local restaurant. Nothing special, just solid food. The bacon was extra crispy, not the way I like it. The staff members were pleasant, but a bit slow moving.

Food and service was very poor. Waited 45 minutes for breakfast. Food came out cold. Butter wouldn't even melt in pancakes. Hash browns were burned. Waitress offered to warm it up. Never said she was sorry. Will NEVER ago back. We paid for orange juice and coffee which was overpriced and left.
