I think the quality of care here is good, but the support staff definitely need training in client relations. I have had two incidents with them and have switched veterinarians because of this. I was told by a tech while on a visit to bring my animal back at no charge since they did not have a doctor available for an exam, so on my return visit I was charged $55 and they would not remove the charge. I also had a 22-year-old cat who was unconscious that I needed to have euthanized quickly, they couldn't get me in until the next day. They told me I needed a quality of life check, which would be a corporately owned clinic answer. I can't believe they couldn't get me in for a five-minute euthanasia at some point that morning, so I called another vet office that got me right in and am now a client of theirs.They are a corporately owned clinic, and when talking to support staff you really get the vibe of this. I have switched to a local veterinary owned clinic and couldn't be happier now.

We had been taking our cat and dog here for quite some time. Unfortunately, over time, the service has declined. We recently had an emergency with our pup. We tried to get an appointment but they were booked for a week. We made an appointment elsewhere and called for his records, they first said it would be several days before we could get the records, but after some pushing agreed to send them over by email same day. We understand they are busy and have other clients, but it's frustrating when you have an emergency and they can't or won't help.This was the last straw for us. For years, we had to make an appointment for each separate issue, not just one check-up appointment. Annoying, but doable.

I called them to schedule an appointment to get my dog spayed. They got me in the next week and told me all the info I needed to know for the night before and day of. Then I show up at 7:30 and I was the first one there to drop off their pet. I go in to check my dog in and the receptionist said there's no appointment that day or any other day for my dogs surgery. I'm very confused as to how that happened when my appointment was confirmed on the phone. I explained to her what day and time I called so we could figure out who took the call and why they didn't schedule the appointment. Instead of giving me any helpful information or trying to help solve the problem then and there she told me to reschedule because they were fully booked for the day. This was the only day in the foreseeable future that me and my boyfriend both had off work and were able to take her. I told her that too and she apologized but still wanted me to make a new appointment. I asked if I could wait for all the other dogs to show up and if someone didn't show, could my dog get in. She seemed very annoyed by me at this point but said yes I can wait till 8, which was the cutoff time for drop off. I waited until 8 and saw only 4 dogs go in so I went in and asked if I could bring my dog in now. At this point she told me I needed to wait longer to see if anyone else would show up, right after she told me to wait till 8. I asked her why she would say 8 if she wanted me to wait till past 8. She said some people might be late and it's not fair to take their spot. I told her it's not fair that I got up early and drove my dog across town just to find out that her appointment was never scheduled and now I have to wait longer to see if someone is late. I was on time and ready to go, my dog had not eaten in over 12 hours, and she is mortified of the car but she had to sit in there and wait for over 35 minutes. After arguing with the receptionist about why I shouldnt have to wait for someone who is late she throws her arms up at me and starts to get upset. I go out to my car and 5 minutes later she says we can bring my dog in. I am very frustrated with how the situation was handled, as if I came in off the street and demanded an appointment. She tried to get me out the door the entire time instead of helping. I paid $390 for that surgery at this "affordable vet clinic". I chose to go to the vet to get her spayed instead of wichita spay and neuter because I wanted to make sure my dog was well taken care of, just for all that to happen. I paid almost $400 for inconvenience and a bad day. The surgery was done and when I got my dog her back was covered in blood. I have no idea if that is normal but for $390 they could have attempted to clean her. She has had no complications from the surgery but I will be looking for another vet after that unprofessional experience.

Awful experience. My dog was very sick, lethargic, and had trouble walking and using the bathroom. They told us my dog most likely had arthritis because she herd popping when she pressed on his back and sides... we took him home only for him to decline even worse in symptoms. We took him to another vet where they quickly realized her had several broken ribs. I don't understand how Pet Haven mistook broken bones for arthritis?? My dog could have died if he went untreated for the broken ribs. I do not recommend this vet.

I have been going to this Vet, Pet Haven for many years... over the Last 2 years the 1 Girl up front is very Rude very Hateful.. this seems to be the New way of the Veterans Front End Staff. I spoke to the vet. was told bad day mabey. Or pandemic. No its NOT. this is a on going thing. 2 years.. super close. I refuse to be treated like this anymore. Leaving them. Now reviews on fb. On there page. Seeing others that have said the same thing I thought it was just me but nope. So if they have staff that's rude and want to lose customers well they have the Right Witch. Working the counter. I have talked to 5 others who have left them . Because of this Rude Employee. But They want to lose customers over 1 Rude Employee. I'm taking my Business to Hutton veterinary.. No one should be treated like That... I believe Working in customer service being nice. I myself have been there. So I Get It.. Shes in The Wrong line of work.

This place has significantly declined over the years. They wouldn't fit our elderly dog who can't get in and out of the house easily after THEIR employees put the incorrect time down. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I think these folks only want office visits & to sell tests & drugs, they cant diagnose anything..Also experience rude receptionist on a phone call I made to them..Didnt realize the original owner sold the business,,,Not going back!

I had a cat that was sick, I started orientation at a new job in Winfield Kansas on Monday, February 13. I left work at 4 o'clock to make my appointment at 5 o'clock at pet Haven got there at 5:20 and they told me that they could not see me and that I would have to reschedule because all of their diagnostic equipment was shut down. What a bunch of bullshit. What a joke of a clinic. My cat is already an established patient at this vet clinic. Horrible customer service horrible vet techs if that's what you wanna call them horrible horrible horrible horrible people they don't give a shit about nothing at all . Would not recommend

Very rude and unprofessional. My son brought his dog here once and we were going to continue services but the lady who answered the phone was unpleasant, impatient, and sounded like she hated her job. She was combative from the start and was only interested in whether or not his dog was current on his shots. I gave one star a month ago after our incident and she replied "sorry can't find your chart". As if that justifies her actions. The reason she can't find our dog's chart is because its under my son's name. If you can't communicate properly and professionally, I wouldn't trust you with our pet. I recommend Creatures and Creations East Wichita and Swaney Veterinary Clinic in Kingman. A little drive but well worth it.
