I have purchased at least a dozen pairs of eyeglasses through Payless Optical over the last 10 years. I will be picking up a pair (progressive bifocals with scratch coating and a pair of single vision sunglasses that cost me $230) this week. In all those times only once did I have a problem, which they resolved. Yes, it takes 2 weeks, they are not a lab/manufacturer of lens. They basically obtain discontinued frames and send the frames in to Omaha? to have lenses put in, so it takes 2 weeks. They are SIGNIFICANTLY less expensive than other optical goods places in the area. I have saved anywhere from $75 to $300 on a pair of glasses compared to other vendors (Sears, LensCraft, Eyeglass World, etc.) even when they are on sale elsewhere even if I use my insurance or discounts. The selection of frames is not always the best, but I have always found glasses that I liked. I have found them friendly, and always ready to make adjustments to my glasses if needed. The only thing is I wish they took insurance toward it but they don't.

Today, I visited because I needed something fixed. They tried to talk me out of it and refused to fix it. I would not recommend Payless Optical Outlet. I paid $134 and I feel as though it was wasted. At the Optomitrist, they gave me the right prescrption, but when I got my glasses, they gave me a weak and wrong one. They blamed it on the Optomitrist, and still would not refund or fix anything. Stay away from Payless Optical Outlet.

STAY AWAY!! Was told complete set of eyeglasses was $219 but final bill was $295. Took money then gave itemized listing. ONE PAIR OF GLASSES!! Their name is not correct. PayMore Optical Outlet is more like it. At Eyeglass World you get an itemized listing of the cost before purchasing. We could have gotten two pair of glasses at Eyeglass World for the same price with the same addons. Sick to my stomach....

Why go anywhere else, unless you want to pay a large bill. I always get my glasses their, and have always been pleased. They can do any kind of prescription..bi-focals, tri-focal., tints, scratch cover etc. There are so many people who pay $300-$500 for a pair....which is a rip off. Go to payless, and you'll cut your bill more than in half. Can recommend them enough. Nancy
