When I moved in, Susan claimed the pool was down but would be fixed. Another employee told me that the pool would never be fixed due to the owners not wanting neighborhood kids In it. I've lived here two years, the pool hasn't been fixed. My basement has had a flood several times due to other apartment renters flushing wipes down their toilet. Most of my belongings were damaged. They kept the fans running for several days at a time, each time, which ran my electric bill up for several months. My front door had been kicked in by the previous tenants boyfriend and not properly fixed. Mice issues, spider issues, the smell coming from the dishwasher. I was instructed to run it at least once a week, so that doesn't happen, but it still does. I've never had to run my dishwasher, so it wouldn't smell. My tags were stolen, and someone hit my car while parked in the stall a week after I purchased it. When I moved In the neighbors smoked and were loud at all hours of the night. Managers lie, it happens here just as it does at other complexes. I say don't believe anything and get everything in writing. It's not all bad. It's pretty quiet, now, most of the time. The property is clean, most of the time. The trash that you see on property isn't their fault and they are quick to get it cleaned if the office is open. The walls aren't as thin as other new Apts. Before COVID, if I called for anything they were quick to get on it. Now, they still come, but maybe the next day vs same day. Still quite remarkable! They have cameras in most places. The office staff is always warm and inviting. Susan takes a lot of crap from her supervisor! That lady bullies and belittles her all day and Susan takes it with a smile on her face. It's sad to watch. She really doesn't deserve that! The maintenance men are always on top of things and polite. My stove and dishwasher had gone out several times. I received a new dishwasher and they tried to fix the stove. I didn't cook in my apt due to the mice. I hated being there after I've seen so many running around. I have a small child and that's just unsanitary. I stayed two years due to covid, but I was ready to move after the first couple of months. It could be a good property, it just needs to be updated, kick out the troublemakers, and get their pest under control. The rumors are true. They do try anything to take your deposit!

Moving here was a horrible choice. They don't care about the residents they just want the money. My husband and I wanted to be closer to McConnell in his last year of the Air Force. He had lived here before and didn't mind it so we thought we would move back. First off we had our car broken into and several of my plants stolen off our porch. And... it is not a "newly" updated townhome. All our appliances were from the 70's. I swear. The chef's kitchen, where is that because we had a tiny little area that barely fit our dishes. The cabinets just had some tacky black paint painted on them. There were woodnshavings in our cabinets! We had so many issues with plumbing. Our tub leaked all over and through the floor TWICE and ruined my laptop. They kept saying it was fixed but it never was. Not to mention the fact that the drain in our basement backed up multiple times and almost ruined my husband's comics. No one ever truly fixes anything. At one point last year the pool was GREEN!!! Then... they charge you for maintaining the tiny patch of concrete that they call a patio if the weeds are not pulled. Are you serious? For as much as we pay in rent which was around 1,000 and some change and you are going to charge us 45 dollars for some weeds? Not only that but they did away with money orders and now use some card. It costs us 3 dollars just to pay rent. If you pay online they charge you 25 dollars. Ridiculous. Hidden fees everywhere. Our mortgage isn't even like that and costs less. Lastly... moving out. Our last week cost us around 450 dollars. For ONE week. Not to mention we had to pay to have the carpets cleaned. Isn't that what a deposit is for? This place is AWFUL. Old, dingy, and ridiculous.water damage everywhere. There was even a piece of carpet in our closet hiding a part missing carpet. If you are military check out Derby for off base housing. Stay away from this place if you can and keep your money!

Don't rent from here. It sucks. It's a terrible place to live. Maintenance sucks. Management sucks and is rude. They don't give one rat's behind about emergencies. Had a pipe leaking in the basement that burst in the middle of the night. Had to argue with them for 30 minutes about getting someone out to fix it. Had to wait another hour for someone to show up. Luckily, we knew where the main water shutoff was, so we were able to do that. The guy came out...looked at it for 3 minutes, refused to do anything until the next morning. 10 hours later, he finally came back - we were without running water for 10 hours. That is actually the best of the horror stories from when we were living there. If you can at all go somewhere else, do so. Board your pets if you have to. This place is a hole.

I never did live at this apartment complex (thank goodness) but took all the steps towards living there. The first day we went there, they told us there was a unit for rent and to bring a cashiers check but the next day that unit was gone (or so they said). Then they said another would be ready in ~2 weeks. It was smaller but a better price so we took it. We couldn't actually see the apt but they took us through a walk through of a "very similar" property but ours would have updated appliances and an open kitchen. Well when we finally saw the apartment, there were some glaring differences between the two apartments.1. The basement was covered head to toe in mirrors. It was like some sort of S&M room or something. And when we saw it, the manager just laughed and said "I hope you like mirrors". Didn't even offer to fix it til we mentioned that we couldn't live in a place like that. The fact that they didn't tell us previous to the walk through about the mirrors was more irritating and deceitful than the mirrors themselves. 2. Appliances were NOT updated. When we mentioned this, they claimed they were less than 5 years old but they clearly were not. 3. Kitchen was NOT open. They claimed they never said it was an open kitchen. 4. Apartment was right at the pool. I told them I work weird hours at a hospital and need a quiet apartment. Obviously they ignored that request. We luckily got out of the lease but they kept the 300 dollar cashier check. It almost seemed like a scam just to make a quick 300 cash. My advice, if you can spend as much as they are asking a month, you can find a better deal on zillow or craigslist. We ended up finding an awesome townhome with an actual backyard (did I mention their "backyard" was a sad pile of rocks that two people could squeeze in?) and a great landlord.

I moved from California and found this place online. Went into view the townhomes, kind of cool they do not have models on their site. But I moved in, and it has been awesome! Very friendly staff. I would definitely recommended these townhomes to everyone!

Do yourself a hugh favor and avoid these townhomes! My current unit is falling apart around me. My first month living here involved a shooting around 4PM across the street at the kids park. The maintenance staff is awesome but there is simply not enough staff available. Every sink in this unit has leaked. I've encountered leaks on all 3 levels. The staff was adamant about me signing my lease before allowing me to see the unit (which I refused to do). The carpets were disgusting and the entire unit smelled horrible. Management assured me the smell was normal and would go away in a few days and this was not the case. The insect and spider problem is outrageous! They have been out numerous times with no results. The process of paying your rent requires you go to a gas station of a food mart to load a card to pay with. They refuse to allow auto-pay, then they can charge you $50 to $170 in late fees. Management's customer service is the worst I've encountered. They offer no solutions to any problems, nor do the attempt to. They fail to even acknowledge your concerns. I've lived here a very short time and have already had 2 different managements. They will attempt to lure you with their SPECIAL they're running $750/month (normal rate $920/month). I've spoke with others and this is their scam they run on everyone. It's simply used to charge you an outrages late fee if you pay late (they charge you $920). I don't pay late so I don't want you to think I'm disgruntled and this is the reason for the poor review. I have never left a review for anything but this place is SO HORRIBLE that I would never want another family to deal with these living conditions.
