First time customer. Arrived during lunch time and was greeted by the owner. Very cordial. I like the old Victorian building look mixed with contemporary design. The wait staff is very helpful suggesting culinary items that I might enjoy. I chose the chicken casadia and a glass of sweet red wine. The casadia arrived HOT! Not luke warm as from competitors. I was not disappointed. I shall return again. Thank you for a fine meal.

This place is very "wine mom" as far as vibes go. It was very busy for Saturday lunch, but it was also close to Valentine's Day and luncheons were being had. Service was good and our food was flavorful. I had an apple turkey brie sandwich on toasted bread plus half a Cobb salad. The sandwich was tasty and one of my favorite flavor combos, even if it was a little conservative with the ingredient proportions. The Cobb salad with the walnut vinaigrette was a delight. Highly recommend that. The only wine they seem to serve is Apothic, which def enforces the "wine mom" vibe, but it is what it is. We didn't day drink this time but plenty of others were. The crown on this meal was the Reese's cheesecake. My gosh, this was the best cheesecake I've had in so long. It was perfectly balanced masterpiece and sharing it was difficult. I don't go to Hays often but if I go back, I'd definitely go back for that cheesecake again.

This was a great little stop. We went in on a quiet Thursday evening for a drink, and had such a great time. Our waitress was fantastic and very knowledgeable about everything they had in stock. We definitely plan on stopping in here again the next time we are in town.

We took a detour from 70 to find a good place for lunch on a long drive and were delighted to see the Paisley Pear is woman-owned and LGBTQ friendly - an oasis for my wife and I! The restaurant is located in a historic building on Main Street in Hays and street parking was free. Inside, the restaurant is spacious, well lit from the large windows, and quiet. We were greeted and got our drinks immediately, and our server Tara was warm and friendly. We shared a soup and sandwich combo and both were delicious. The turkey brie and pear sandwich was grilled on artisan bread and was cheesy but not greasy. The soup of the day was cheddar poblano, and the peppers added a smoky kick without being spicy. The menu also included breakfast items, salads, dessert, wine and whiskey. We also enjoyed browsing the selection of Kansas made products like baking mixes, jams, salsa and candles. Next time we make the drive on 70, we'll go out of our way to have breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Paisley Pear!
