Ozzie Bakes

I sent my hubby over to pickup breakfast - his favorite biscuits and gravy! The owner is so friendly and was working in the kitchen when he arrived. Everything is freshly made from scratch and I'm looking forward to trying it all! The biscuits and gravy were to DIE FOR! So delicious! Can't wait to come back! Highly recommended

Nestled in downtown Coldwater, KS we found a jewel, Ozzie Bakes! A very cool and trendy, sit down cafe/bakery offering delightfully delicious and satisfying homemade fare!The moment you step into Ozzie's you are greeted by a Welcome sign and the smile of Sue Little. Then, you notice the delightful display of freshly made meat pies and quiches to your left and fresh, homemade donuts, banana nut bread, pie and pastries to your right. There is also a menu of breakfast items and lunch fare on trendy chalkboards to choose from. Sue, owning a lovely Australia accent, graciously explained each item in the glistening glass case. The individual portioned Shook Pie, Shepard's pie and Quiche, were equally visually amazing, making my selection difficult. I chose the Schook pie. Comfort food derived from Sue's family recipes. Delicious individually crafted pastry pie filled with chicken, a delicate cream sauce, soft hints of garlic and savory vegetables. Each bite...Perfection!My husband, Jeff, chose a freshly created BLT from the lunch menu. After taking a bite, his description, "it is incredible!' Jeff chose a slice of heated Apple pie for desert and again, he said it was "The Best, ever!"Even when I say, Ozzie's is a Jewel, I feel I am in someway slighting it...Ozzie Bakes IS THAT GOOD! I chose a homemade glazed donut for desert, only intending on eating half. I ate one donut and THEN ate another half! Quite honestly the best tasting donut I have ever experienced! Completely out-doing the homemade ones I had in Canada some years back.If you are traveling, through Coldwater, Kansas or within a hundred mile radius, 'Ozzie Bakes' is worth a stop. Come hungry, you won't be disappointed.

Wow food here is so good.. all homemade.. with Sue's special touches.. serves breakfast and lunch.. You wont be disappointed!!
