Review about Remy H. Blanchaert, Jr.I am so livid right now!!! My wife, Sarah, was referred to a specialist to have a tooth extracted due to it touching a nerve and the fact that she has a major reaction to epinephrine in the normal novocaine shot. The specialist has a different shot they use for those that are sensitive. She waited over two weeks for this appointment, in constant pain and losing sleep because of it. And today is finally the day. We get there, she fills out the paperwork, and gets called back. The nurse gets her ready, and puts some local anesthetic on the area to get ready for the shot. The dentist is getting ready to do it and Sarah asks if he's using the right shot. He says, "I'm using what I've always used for 20 years". She informs him that she has a reaction to the regular shot. He then raises his voice and says, "do you want the tooth out or not?" She sits up and he pushes her up out of the chair and says "then leave". She looked at the nurse and said "are you kidding me? Does he always treat people like this?" The nurse said, "I can't answer that", and just cowered in the corner. Sarah then walked out of the room in complete tears and came out to the lobby, where I was waiting.DO NOT have work done by this dentist and if Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Associates continues to support his actions, as you could tell by the nurse's reactions this happens a lot, then do not use their services at all!!

I had wisdom teeth extracted in September 2019. Dr Blanchaert displayed no discernible evidence that I existed to him as a human being, other than the fact that I was a paying customer. I'm fine with that at a movie theatre; I expect more from a licensed helping professional, and even more so from a doctor. Additionally, I developed a post-op lower respiratory infection, which would've been easily prevented with antibiotics (typically prescribed in these procedures), but which weren't discussed at any point in the evaluation or pre- or post-op, despite my listing having a rare, chronic lung illness leaving me suspectible to infections. Please don't see this doctor. I promise you can do better. One of the worst dental experiences I've ever had. If you have any extenuating health circumstances (I have rare diseases I was born with that I always disclose), AVOID THIS PLACE. I cannot speak to what it's like to go here as someone without rare conditions, but I expect medical professionals to at least be competent in their care for patients with other health issues, and to refer out when needed. The nursing staff wasn't much better, and sent me home while barely conscious following a surgery with no follow-up explanations, save a piece of paper. In fact, one nurse hit me (not with a fist, but a firm slap on the legs) while I was trying to calm myself following the procedure, taking deep breaths with my eyes closed. I have a rare, chronic lung illness akin to CF, and I'm a therapist, so I'm aware of how to focus and be mindful, and how to ground myself when necessary, especially following a surgical procedure (I've had over half a dozen). This was the least effective calming/focusing technique I've ever experienced, as it only caused me to struggle to breathe more because of the surprise from being hit. Being there was like being part of a dental assembly line - the faster they got me out the door, the faster they were able to let someone else in to pay. I wish I could do more beyond leaving this review, but it seems better than nothing. I hope this is helpful to someone.(Disclaimer: I also left this review on Google as well, but wanted to make sure it's seen, so also posting here.)

Nothing wrong with the reception we got today, or indeed for others I watched as I waited for my patient's follow-up to be finished. The wait for the Dr took a bit, but it was overall good.

Amazing doctor and staff, I think my doctor was Dr. Lichty. Had my wisdom teeth removed here today and I feel great afterwards. Pain is very minimal and the staff was quick to help me back on my feet and very detailed instructions on what to do after the surgery. I appreciate everything. Thank you very much.

listen, I was in the army for 14 years... I've had my fair share of horrible medical care... so if it was for me I'd just suck it up... but my son had an appointment scheduled for today ( literally for weeks) I work at a HS. I'm not rich. his mother had to take off work too. so we both lost money. we get there and after waiting 20 minutes they call us back and tell us " sorry we don't have the ointment needed for this procedure " super inconvenient, inconsiderate, and unprofessional . if you are performing oral surgery... when you schedule your appts do better. because now I have to take ANOTHER day off. a dr who makes 6 figures doesn't care about money. but to someone making 35k a year...320 dollars for 2 days is a LOT

Saw Dr. Blanchaert on 11/13/23 and he was extremely insensitive and rude! The dental assistant wasn't too bad but she wasn't helping my nerves calm down in any way and was very careless. During the procedure I asked if they can count to 3 & they did but I was TERRIFIED!! & Moaned in fear & he said "I'd do this a lot faster if you weren't screaming in my ear." It was so insensitive!! Don't come here!. Don't bring your children here!.

Dr Blanchaert is unprofessional, rude, condescending and offensive, all within the less than five minutes he was in the room. Highly recommend you find someone else.

Horrible service & attitudes from the receptionists & nurses. Nobody greets you, or even makes any kind of small talk to make you more comfortable with the surgery you're about to undergo, no smile, nothing. They just want you to get in & get out. I understand their job isn't so much as "customer service" but there's a way to treat a patient who is paying a lot of money for you to do your job, the least you could do is act kind & compassionate. Even with an appointment don't expect to be seen anywhere near your time. I've been 4 times to this office for dental work, & each time it's the same thing. Unfortunately I had a very limited time window & I did not have the time to find another doctor to do my procedures, and pay for more consultations & X-rays and such, or believe me I would have. Their also ridiculously expensive. Consults & checkups were never under $60 and a huge waste of time. Both of mine took under 2 minutes & then sent me home, such a waste of money.... One consult that honestly lasted about a minute in the room with the doctor, after an hour & a half wait after my appt time (no apology by the way), 2 nurses in my room who couldn't even figure out what I was there for, like they couldn't pull up my chart that had the reason for my appt on it, with 1 new X-ray was over $150 dollars WITH great insurance.
