Santa and a reindeer at Thanksgiving Brunch!

Flew in at 1pm, still drugged up on Dramamine, napped for 4 hours, while still groggy, was taken to some restaurant, managed to order the filet, and then ...... Was this this a quasi-spiritual experience? Was this awakening of the senses and soul affected by my anti-nausea airplane pills? What was happening!?All I know, is that I either have to take a couple cows home with me or hit up Wichita once a year to get my filet fix.

We usually go to another place for Thanksgiving brunch, but they were all reserved up, and Olive Tree came up as another option. I was hesitant because they are a catering company and sometimes food from catering companies just tastes like it was made in mass quantities and flavorless. While Olive Tree didn't have the variety I was looking for, the items they did have on their buffet were done well and tasted PHENOMENAL! It tasted like a home-cooked meal. Everything had so much flavor and was cooked to absolute perfection. Even made kids ate a plateful and that's saying something! They had Santa there and a reindeer which was a real treat for the kiddos! The staff was friendly and helpful Would definitely recommend and will be returning for Christmas if they do a brunch!

I came to Olive Tree for the Sunday brunch. They offer one of the largest brunch menu I've personally been to in Wichita for only $17! I enjoyed the food, and staff was friendly.

From the start the staff was friendly, inviting and professional. Everyone in the wedding party had a fantastic time specifically due to the friendly female bare tenders. Thank you for a memorable evening. Would highly recommend for any future banquet needs. Fantastic job. Thank you again.

I agree with Les about the Sunday Brunch being awesome. I went there with my wife on a special occasion. It a very classy restaurant with top notch service and excellent food. I had an omelet that was just perfect, not dry like so many I have seem. Prime rib was tender and jucie also. Is a little pricee ($15 each) for me but I will go back but not every Sunday. They also have a banquet hall for catered gatherings.

They do workplace catering to my sisters office down the street. I usually show up for it even though I don't work there :) Amazing presentation, great food. Love it.

I went to the Easter Sunday brunch buffet earlier this month. I made reservations for noon and my party was immediately seated in an elegant wood-paneled room at a table with fresh-cut spring flowers. The food was marvelous. Even at noon, items at the buffet were promptly whisked away before they emptied, so everything was constantly replenished. Everything in the salad and mediterranean sections tasted so lovely and fresh. I also thought the dessert bar was quite extravagant; probably the best I've ever had.Unfortunately, the service from our waitress was disappointing. I think she didn't see enough tip-potential, we being a small party, and put our table low on her priority list. Luckily, another waiter saw I was thirsty and gave my water a pity refill.Overall, however, the experience was grand enough for a return trip.

I thought they were just ok, maybe because it was an interview over lunch so I didn't get to enjoy the food as much. Didn't pay much attention to the prices either since it was paid for by the company :)EDITED 6/10/08Their Sunday Brunch is incredible, and not too expensive either. Great variety of fresh quality food on the bar, breads, pastries, steaks, made to order omelettes, super tasty waffles and desserts.

Let's see. Born in L.A., raised in New York, and now living in San Francisco. I am destined to be a food whore and snob. So here I am in Wichita, Kansas, thinking I will be eating corn, grease and probably a good steak here and there. Really liked Olive Tree, as did my business companion. Small plates means variety which a plus at the outset. Really liked the marinated olives and the eggplant thingy (descriptive enough for you?). I had mushroom soup and a small cheese plate before dinner, instead of after. I live life on the edge, no? I had the rack of lamb that had that perfect seared outside and tender inside. Slightly gamy in nature, but that was okay because we had a robust bottle of red that matched well. Dessert was okay - had their weird tiramisu-like dish. Always disappointing when the last flavor of the night does not match the rest of the meal. Anyway, nice decor that I can only describe as "warm." Professional and friendly staff. Made my reservations about Wichita food a little less...reserved.
