Ogden Backyard Bar-B-Q

Delicious brisket, chicken was dry. Ribs has a nice smoke ring to them. Mac and cheese was fresh beans were fair should of gotten greens. Hot link needed more heat all in all one happy tummy.

My team and I got here around 11:30 , it was 4 of us . One of our orders never came out after about a hour of waiting . No seasoning on the side dishes . Everything also seemed pre cooked and /or microwaved . The ambiance of the place is ok though .

Ordered the bbq pulled pork, bbq beans, and chicken ettoufe. The food was good. I would try something else if I went back. This place wasn't what I expected. Everything was precooked and not everything had a burner. The white rice for the ettoufe came out of a zip lock bag. I'm a rice person and was not happy to see that. Overall, the service good and I would recommend.

I want her recipe for greens. The kitchen needs some TLC, updating and professionalizing, but seriously... Greens recipe please?The owners are soooo completely sweet, they can feed me any day! But seriously. Greens.

We were searching for something besides Subway off Hwy 70. We found this in Yelp and it was fantastic! Small place in a cool building from 1859. The owner was super kind and talked with us for awhile. The smoked meat was wonderful. My 20 year old had the Dune sandwich which was Brisket, Pulled Pork, Sausage, chicken and turkey topped with coleslaw. It was amazing! We will be back on the home!

This place is a hidden secret. I stop here on the way home to manhattan. I prefer the ribs here over cox brothers. Less brown sugar and more natural flavor. Home made sauces. Prices are more than fair. The owners are friendly. It is clean.

This place is a small BBQ spot in Ogden right outside the Ogden gate. It's pretty good BBQ, with decent prices. The problem with this place is it uses microwaves for the food. I mean I use one at home for my food but I dont expect it when I go out for food that isnt a chain fast food place. I got there right when they opened and they still used the microwave to heat up the meats and all the sides. I do not believe there was one item that wasnt nuked on my plate. They also have a sink behind the bar with the food where they sat my plate on, with also all the containers of sauces in the sink for some reason. They pulled the food in tubbaware containers out of a fridge behind the bar and sat the containers in the sink as well. The food does have a decent flavor for a small spot in a small town with nothing else really available. I'd say try it once, and if you dont want to drive to JC, Manhattan, or KC this is a good deal for you. If they could get rid of the microwave and have fresh to order made food (the sides) I'd be a regular here.

Great home cooked BBQ and friendly staff. It's cash only, but they have an ATM inside.

Excellent bbq, very fair prices, and a warm welcome from the staff made our visit today. The Dune sandwich is huge - pulled pork, smoked chicken, brisket, and a sausage topped with slaw in the same bun!

It was ok. We came later in the afternoon so all the meat had to be reheated. I'm not a fan of heating meat in the microwave. I got the rib tips they were a bit tough, red beans and rice had no flavor.
