Nuway Crumbly Burgers

We went here yesterday. An employee was helpful. The place was clean at the time. But, that's where it ends. The Nuway wasn't seasoned and was dry , not even at a tepid temperature and seemed old appearing. We thought we ordered onion rings, but the employee didn't ring it up. A child's meal wasn't eaten because the fries weren't good and hot, they refused to eat their sandwich. I highly doubt we will return for a very long time, if ever.

I lived in Wichita for 20 years. This is always my first stop when I'm back in town. You can't get Nu-Way anywhere else! It's delicious and the staff here is very cool. They were so kind and helpful. The burgers and chili are delicious. I love Nu-Way!

not even busy. drive thru. garlic salad large nu way with cheese. no cheese. dried out meat. not even greasy at all. garlic salad was good.

It's a loose-meat burger. It's root beer made in house. What more do you need? No, it's not a five-star, Michelin experience - it's a dining experience of nearly 100 years operating in Wichita. You want fancy burgers? Go find a Snack Shack or gourmet $14/burger place. You want a flavorful Wichita treasure for a great price? And one washed down with handmade root beer (get the mug from the freezer), accompanied by either the curly fries (cut there) or their onion rings? Do yourself a favor and go to NuWay.

I read the review about the grey taco shell from this location and was really hesitant to go in, but if you stick to the nuway stuff like the nuway burger. Then it's probably the best nuway burger I've had out of all the nuway s I've visited in town when I do come to visit Wichita. They kids all got a scoop of ice cream and the curly fries were hot and tasty. And not greasy.

This place has gone downhill so bad. I used to love going here. They moved into a new location and it was awful. We walked in and every table was dirty. Nothing has been picked up. We had to sit at the counter. The poor guy that took our prefer was super frustrated because he was the only one there to work besides one cook who came out to help. They told us and others that the owner won't do anything to help. He said the owner never fixes anything that needs fixed. The walls are still bare as well. I guess there's no management either because I heard them tell some that the owner is trying to find a manager. Food was awful as well. Cold and no flavor.

The bread on my burger was cold along with the fries that they were skimpy on. Meal was also very dry. I was gonna say my meal was a 3/10 but as im typing this it's pissing me off so 2/10 will not return sry do better

TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE SERVICE on December 9, 2024. They were busy, waited 15 minutes before I could Order. Did get to order right after two ladies ordered (they having been there longer than me). Wasn't 30 seconds difference between the time they ordered and I did. They got their drinks almost immediately. I did not. After about 20 minutes, I got the server's attention about at least getting me my drink while I waited for my food. So I am already there 35 minutes. Others came in, waited for a period of time to order, but did order substantially after I did. The two ladies got their food, ate it, paid, and left. I still don't have any food. Then those that came in AFTER I did, got their food. My order was about as simple as it could be -- give me a number 1. No changes, standard order. After I had been there a total of one hour, I was able to flag the server down and asked about my order. In the discussion, it became apparent that the order was never put in, lost, given to someone else, or was sent to Mars. It was taken electronically, so it shouldn't have been lost. After an hour, no order in, I was upset. The server said he would get right on it, but I had had enough. I got up and left telling them I was going to McDonald's where I could at least get service. Have eaten there numerous times before, but they will not get anymore money of mine. My money spent just fine at McDonald's, and will elsewhere also. If I could give a rating, it would be a -5 for service.

The employees were awful and rude. They were making rude comments and muttering about my looks and to make it worse they didn't give me everything I ordered and they things they did give me wasn't even cooked well this place has gone down hill badly

Always my lunch stop when I'm in Wichita. You either like crumbly meat or you don't but this is the best. Also have to have a root beer with it and onion rings.
