Northstar Property Management

I have had two of my properties managed by Northstar. Communication was always terrible, and getting a hold of my property manager was often almost impossible. Quotes and bids for repairs more significant than basic handyman work would take weeks to months to receive. While saving money to perform repairs on a tenant damaged property so that we could get another tenant in, Northstar sent me a letter saying they would no longer manage my property. The key to the property was supposed to accompany the letter, but it was missing. They weren't making money without a tenant and it was going to require some paperwork to get a new one, so why bother?So now I have to get new repair quotes to give to a new property manager or realtor, and that's if I ever get my key back. Northstar will clearly not be pursuing the collections against my former tenant, so I guess I'll just eat the thousands in repairs.Landlords: Stay away. Tenants: Apparently you can do whatever you want, because they'll never come inspect the property and it's too much work to manage a delayed repair process.

I Do Not, do not recommend Northstar property Management. First off you don't get a prompt response when you do reach out if any response. Second I'm currently receiving emails for late fees that's bogus. There's no way you can have late fees on a zero balance or if rent was paid before the 8th of every month. By far this company has been the worst property management. Geez this company is worst than Point Guard Management. I would truly rate them with zero stars. Run do not walk away from this company.

horrible they take forever to respond and fix things. never sprayed for bugs when they said they would mor changed air filters. no direct line of contact.

Aaron mcpeak is the owner and is the rudest person I've ever met. Northstar took over Santa Fe apartments over 2 months ago from point guard And since it's been a nightmare. I called everyday for over a week. he finally got back to me after I left a voicemail. He continually called me a cunt and stupid for asking how to get my mail key to retrieve my paycheck to be able to pay my rent. after I asked to speak with anyone else or a higher up, he hung up on me and blocked my number. he than unblocked to tell me the next day I was being evicted In 3 days, mind you I was only 9 days late and was only bc I couldn't retrieve my mail key to get my paycheck. if Anyone from northstar sees this, pls call me bc I still need help lol

I currently live in one of the properties they just bought and can't pay my rent. Not happy with them already. Can't get a hold of them on phone or email either. Poor management.

DO NOT RENT THROUGH THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY ARE A SCAM AND AWFUL!!!If i could give a lower rating i would. Northstar took over my rental from wichita rentals about 2 months after i moved in to it and it went down hill right away. it took months to get someone out to fixed anything. the only thing they were quick about was someone to thaw pipes during the big freeze. we had a leak in the roof for over a year that they never sent someone out for. we only had one way to contact them outside of the appfoilo app to pay rent since repair requests were basically ignored. that point of contact was someone named laura gaddy and she is a massive joke. i moved out in the start of oct and i STILL have been unable to contact for or find a working number for northstar to return my keys to them.

The only thing they did good for me was not evict me when i got behind on rent but the federal guidlines wouldnt have let them and i was 1 month behind and got caught up. We got flooded in the extreme cold in February 2021 and they werent prepared whatsoever and had me calling a plumber at midnight. I was out of my duplex for 9 days and didnt have hot water for 18days. The rental agent Laura let the landlord break the law and not compensate us a penny. and after replacing the door in the basement they left all the broken glass- like their contractors left empty beer cartons and bottles in the cubby hole.....slumlord.....

NorthStar Property Management was a nightmare. NorthStar insisted repairs of $6500.00 were needed on my property and recommend a contractor. The contractor did not complete the work, did not get a permit to do the work and caused more damage to the house. NorthStar Property management paid the contractor without even ensuring the work was complete or correct. The tenant also did significant damage to the home and was continually late on the rent. This company is dishonest and has poor business ethics.
