Came in on June 26th for an exam on my cat. However due to the nature of my cats needs the Dr and I decided our best options are doing a test for cancer. I was emotional and he said we didn't do anything today so don't worry about paying. Just go and call us back to schedule that exam. So by my surprise I get a text saying I have an outstanding balance of hundreds of dollars. I then call thinking this is a mistake only to be greeted by a very rude receptionist who laughed when I said "this must be a mistake." and went on to state that I die owe the full balance even though I was there less than 5 minutes. It's so sad when a good Dr's work will be overshadowed by rude and unprofessional front office employees. Next step will be to contact Kansas consumer protection agencies.

What a rip off! We paid $250 at this place only for them to tell us our dog needs emergency surgery TODAY but they can't do it and we'll have to find another veterinarian. I can understand charging a new patient fee, and of course I understand charging for an x-ray, but charging us for a whole exam when all you did was palpate his abdomen? Ridiculous! Do not go to this place if you have an animal in crisis.

These veterinarians declaw cats which is a procedure banned in England, Scotland, Wales, Italy, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, Brazil, Australia, and New Zealand. What people don't know is declawing amputates each one of the toes at the joint. "Medical drawbacks to declawing include pain in the paw, infection, tissue necrosis (tissue death), lameness, and back pain. Removing claws changes the way a cat's foot meets the ground and can cause pain similar to wearing an uncomfortable pair of shoes. There can also be a regrowth of improperly removed claws, nerve damage, and bone spurs." - http://m.humanesociety.org/animals/cats/tips/declawing.htmlDeclawing your cats can causes lasting, permanent damage to your cats daily quality of life. Do your research before you have your cat declawed.

We've been taking our pets to Mulvane Animal Clinic for 17 years. They have always been extremely helpful, compassionate, and great with our animals. Many years ago when we had our cat, Jayhawk neutered, we came to pick him up, the office staff let my then 4 year old daughter go back and get him from the kennel. They all in fun changed his name to "Willie" on the outside of the kennel and she laughed, loving every minute of the staff making a connection with her. Although we have many vet options on the West side of Wichita, we continue to drive 40 minutes one way for our animals to be seen at Mulvane Animal Clinic. Thank you to the Mulvane Animal Clinic for making a connection so many years ago.

$85 to just walk into the door. We have been here before and were pleased with their affordable care. We go back to this location today to get our dog her shots and walk out with a $300 bill. $218 of that just for shots and a nail trim. But $85 to walk in the door. "New client fee" is what the receptionist said. Our dog that we had taken there has passed since we've been there and our current dog is 2. We had taken her to a vet closer to home since we live out west but remembered they were reasonably priced so we wanted to come here again. Well, they used to be reasonably priced....

Be prepared to wait hours to see a vet. They are walk-in only and do not take appointments unless it is a surgery of some kind. When my dog was sick and I took her in, I was told it would be a 4.5 hour wait. The next time I came in was just to get my cat's nails trimmed, so I assumed the wait would be much shorter since this could be done by a vet tech and she wouldn't have to see an actual doctor. However they said the wait would still be around 2.5 hours! So unless you are fine with sitting in your car for hours at a time, I would pursue different options

I had to take my dog there after she was attacked by another dog. There were so many other dog there she couldn't get the individual care she would have gotten at any other vet. I know it was an emergency but now my dog is traumatized and can't even see her normal vet without being sedated. I will never take my dog or recommend this place to anyone

I absolutely love Mulvane Animal Clinic theyre patient, informative and always find a solution. However, it's unfortunate that the receptionist (Michelle) is rude and unprofessional. Going to the vet in general is typically not for fun, there's usually an unfortunate event that has lead to this destination. One would think that the one that greets you would be warm, kind and IF ANYTHING, NICE. I understand that everyone has bad days, but it seems everytime we are greeted with an attitude, eye rolls and mumbling. This has happened on multiple occasions and definitely not what i'd want my customers to remember of my business. Sadly, due to your receptionist consistent behavior I will not be returning and we've been coming here for over 3 years.
