My rating is for the food I have tried (I plan to try more items on the menu). We ordered the crispy chicken with sauce on the side (Bangkok sauce and peanut sauce), and fried rice with no meat. The crispy chicken was crunchy, light, and not greasy. I really enjoyed the texture and flavor. Between the Bangkok sauce and peanut sauce, I preferred the Bangkok sauce. Fried rice complimented the crispy fried chicken. I plan to come back to try more items on their menu!

After my disappointment from the Harry location, I decided to give them a second chance at the Maize location.Upon entering, I was energetically welcomed by excellent customer service, which was the best redeeming quality of my experience. Not only was she polite, but helped me find menu items that are right in front of me, which I somehow could not find. This was due to the slideshow menu's caption covering the bottom of the menu. Touch-free payment is also available, which have tip options starting from 16%.I ordered takeout of a large crispy chicken, and upon her suggestion, got a sample of every sauce to try, as well as a side of yakisoba. While waiting, I checked out the storefront. The place had the dirt from the lunch rush swept to the side and out of the way. The tables were clear and clean. There were 4 other people already eating, even post-lunch. There was a crane game near the entrance, at 50 cents a play, with prizes worth from $1 - $2, which is a guaranteed loss at that ratio. The yakisoba was so salty it hurt my tongue. Did not expect much from a not really Japanese food place, but I did not expect salt noodle that did not have sweetness to it.The crispy chicken was crispy, but if you are expecting karaage, think again. Karaage uses dark meat, particularly thigh meat, but this uses white chicken breast, which is fine. It was surprisingly not dry, which is a plus. The crispy coating was even, even the small pieces had chicken in them, albeit covered in more crispy coating then large pieces. The sauces were okay. I rank them in this order: Volcano, YumYum, Peanut, Bangkok, Sesame, Lava, Honey Teriyaki, and Sweet & Sour. The first three are the only viable sauces. The rest are middling to zero amount of worth your attention or taste buds. YumYum has a stronger flavor than Volcano, but Volcano is not as spicy as YumYum. Volcano, despite it's spicy tag is actually quite mild, and can be eaten back to back without getting tired of it. YumYum is the spiciest sauce despite not being labeled as spicy. Peanut is sweet and smooth, but not overly sweet. Bangkok sauce is actually spicy, but has a biting to it that tastes more of vinegar, and less of Thailand. Sesame is lacking in sweetness and any hint of sesame. Lava is not even spicy. Honey Teriyaki lacks teriyaki and honey. Sweet & Sour was more generic and bland than buffet Sweet & Sour.Despite only having a very small breakfast, I could finish about 2/3 of the crispy chicken, a few bites of the salt noodles. In hindsight, maybe the yakisoba got so salty due to the cook cooking the noodles to the beat of a song, since I could hear it sync up. TLDR: In combination with my previous review, if you must get anything, get crispy chicken, a small order, unless you have another grown and hungry adult to share it with, with volcano sauce(it's not actually spicy). Yumyum for spicy. It was okay. Will I be back? Probably not. Might do Panda, panda is more authentic. That says something I guess. And Panda isn't even Japanese.

I was in the restaurant for no less than 30 seconds, and it was the best service I've received in years. The staff was full of energy, excitement, and were very engaged. This tray of rice was only one entree! What a steal. It was enough for 2 (maybe 3) meals, and I loved it. Totally makes it worth it cost wise. The rice does have a stronger garlic taste- so keep that in mind when ordering!

This place has been on my radar for some time, as all the reviews I ever see have been overwhelmingly positive. In fact, the only review I saw that was negative, the customer complained there was too much garlic, which is obviously not possible, so I ignored that completely.I had high expectations going in, which were met *and* exceeded in the first and second dishes I tasted. Firstly, it is worth noting that the prices are super affordable, and the portions are very generous, made even moreso by the low prices. If that wasn't enough, the food was *dynamite*.I have been to dozens and dozens of American-Chinese and American-Japanese restaurants, and frequently cook my own fried rice, yakisoba, lo-mein, and other popular dishes like Kung Pao, Sichuan, General Tso, Orange Chicken, Mongolian Beef - I love this cuisine, and so when I have something that stands out among the mountains of similarly-themed dishes I've had, it can't be understated how high that praise really is.The Crispy Chicken with Volcano Sauce was crispy for the duration of the meal. Fantastic breading and not overly sauced. The fried rice is the best I've had in Kansas, and rivals my own, the making of which requires a flat top blackstone griddle and cold, day-old rice. For a small kitchen to be pumping out fried rice that good is very impressive. It's better than you'll get at a Hibachi / Teppenyaki grill. The dumplings and egg rolls were both well above average, but overall the flavors were just super clean, everything was delicious, and the service was very friendly and accommodating.Lastly, I'd like to mention their Lava sauce - if you like something enjoyably spicy, with a good chile flavor, this was great with their dumplings and egg rolls.TL;DR: This place lives up to the hype. The menu looks small, but the substitutions you can make expands it beyond what it appears to be, and it is always better to have a small, well-executed menu, which is what you get here. Highly reccommended, unbeatable for the price and punches far above its weight.Championship.

Ok if you have yet to try Mr Miyagi's, you are definitely missing out. This place is From probably the best sweet and sour sauce I've had in years, to the amount of deliciousness in one container, every bite was perfect and full of flavor. The more J got into his rice, the more protein he found. I got the shrimp yakisoba with extra veggies and J for the combo fried rice. It had steak, chicken and shrimp. The crab rangoons were def on point!! Also, so yourself a favor and get some of the house made hot sauce! All of this with a tip was under $30. Also, throw a few extra on the counter for the guys cooking on your way out. It's well DESERVED! Now I am going to go into a food coma after only eating half my food. #supportlocal

So good! We ordered take out online. Received texts about our order status. It was ready before I picked up and stayed nice and hot until I got home to eat. We ordered spring rolls, chicken garlic fried rice, and chicken yakisoba with added beef. Holy cow. Delicious. All of it. I've never had yakisoba before so I have nothing to compare it to, but this one was YUM. Large portions with lots of meat throughout. No skimping here like some other places. We will definitely be back!!

Disgusting. I ordered the chicken fried rice and crab rangoons. The fried rice looked and tasted like it had been soaked in a pool of grease and then strained before being served. Fried rice shouldn't be wet when you eat it. The crab Rangoons were your average run of the mill wontons. The person ringing me up has no business helping customers. I asked what vegetables came in the fried rice and she said there were none. When I got my food there were peas and carrots. I told her and she said "yeah that's normal." I said, "But you told me there were no vegetables and she said "oh." No apology or anything. I only ate here because the best Chinese restaurant in Wichita was closed today. They are called Oh Yeah and they are across the street. Spend your money there. You won't be disappointed.

Today I ordered lunch and had my husband pick it up on his way to an appointment. Situation 1. He was given the wrong food. He brought it to me at work and I let him know it wasn't mine. He took it back where it was promptly given to the persons whose food it was. It had left the building. Granted I didn't do anything to it but food service 101. Remake the food. My order was given to him and it was missing the crab rangoons. The lemon chicken was given to him with no sauce and no offer to switch to something else since they were out. I did not ask him to go back a third time as I only get a half hour for lunch and he had an appt to get to. So frustrated. So dry chicken a little fried rice and no rangoons. Somehow this doesn't seem at all right.

Terrible.... We used to love this place, but it has definitely gone downhill. Today we went at 3pm and the only customers, every table was dirty, the lady behind the counter was on the phone THE ENTIRE TIME we were in the restaurant, she didn't even get off to take our order. They changed the noodles and these were overcooked, soggy and mushy. The chicken was dry and stringy, no flavor whatsoever. When we asked about the noodle swap they acted stupid and rude. Don't think we will ever go back

I usually post reviews to rave about a place I've been, but this time I need to post to wave folks off. pulling into the hotel after a 7 hour drive and saw this place. I didn't want fast food and Japanese sounded lighter and healthier so I pulled in. Service was great, friendly. The food however... how do I put this nicely? it was the worst Japanese food I've ever had. I'm not even sure why it's called Japanese food... I pointed at the picture of the combo fried rice pictured with beef, chicken, shrimp and assorted veggies which looked delicious, and a side of crab Rangoons. The rangoons were basically deep fried wontons with some flavored cream cheese, and by flavored I'm not even sure there's any actual crab in them. Some cream cheese, seasoning and maybe a squirt of crab flavored juice. I don't actually know but they were not good. The combo fried rice was the real disappointment though. It had all three proteins but no veggies. None. Not one onion, carrot, pepper, green onion or bamboo shoot. Meat and rice. And the chicken was white meat which had quite a few dried out chunks. Lastly it was way too salty with what I suspect was a judicious amount of soy sauce. If you're looking for the fast food of Japanese restaurants, then this is the place for you. As a bonus, the servings are large.
