Motel Six

I'll give them 4 stars only because they were helpful and refunded my money. I checked in and was very surprised it was a self check in through a kiosk. Once I got to my room and sat on the bed I noticed a bug crawling on me. It was a flea. Once I investigated closer the whole bed was infested with fleas. I went back to the kiosk and they wanted to give me a new room. I said no thanks and I wanted a refund. They reluctantly gave me a refund.

Took a chance because of the great pet policy. The room was so disgusting we left and had to find another hotel room. The bed sheets were covered in cigarette burn holes. The front desk did offer to let us switch them out if we brought the sheets to the front desk to exchange. The room was overall in bad shape. The furniture was banged up and the windows were filthy. Shortly after we got to our room we could smell smoke, we were in a nonsmoking room and the rooms next to us were nonsmoking. When I told management that was another reason for us leaving I was told there are smoking rooms on that floor, I had actually called days before and requested the first floor but was not given the first floor. I was granted a refund with no issues and appreciated that. I will never book a stay at the Motel 6 again.

Took my wife to the ER after staying here; the hotel has bed bugs! 100% true. The ER confirmed the bites and gave her steroid injection because of the systemic swelling from the infected bed bug bites. We burned all the clothes we had in the hotel room to avoid bringing them into our home. Don't stay here even if they provide a great rate, it isn't worth the complications of the pest menace. I see another person reported bed bugs to the hotel but they called her a liar and obviously never treated her claim with any respect.

This place is super nice! The bathroom fixtures seem a bit outdated and there's an odd smell (nothing bad just strange to my nose) but other than that it's awesome. They're pet friendly and allow two free pets which is so nice when you're on the road and traveling. The staff are friendly and the place seems overall very clean. I'd definitely stay here again if I ever traveled through the area again. You can't beat the price and the quality of this place.

Very clean, low-cost place to crash for the night. Bed was comfortable and water pressure in the shower was good. Convenient location and friendly staff.

Pretty darn good for a basic stay. This Motel 6 was quite comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The room itself was relatively small, but all of the amenities were practically brand new. The room was spotlessly clean. The bed was great and with a rare find, large pillows! The TV was a larger flat-screen that was mounted on the wall. A fridge and microwave came with the room.Outside the building is a mechanic with late hours and a large gas station/food mart, all within a few hundred yards. I walked in during the KC Royals playoff game and it was on in the lobby. The clerk started chatting about the game and I almost didn't want to check into my room and miss the action. I go back out to my car to grab my bags and as I walk in, it's as if the clerk read my mind. "It's on channel XY," he says. My point is that the atmosphere was very homey and inviting. Certainly a Motel 6 that I highly recommend!

You get what you pay for. If all you're looking for are the basic necessities, then this is your stop. I stayed here overnight during a cross country adventure from Florida to Colorado. The hotel itself is flanked by a gas station and a car wash. Not many restaurants in close proximity. The restaurants that are close by are about 10 min away - not too bad. Convenience off I70. Beds were simple and clean. We had to ask for shampoo - and they were in sample packets. Continental breakfast consists of coffee.It's cheap, but it's clean. At least, our room was clean.

Easy to get to, plenty of parking. The staff was very friendly. The hotel is old but has been remodeled/refurbished. The price is reasonable and I would say the place is good for the money and perfect if you just need a place to stay and move on. The downsides: The room was dirty, there was dust and lint under the desk and along the walls, and there was a dead bug. Would be much cleaner if the staff would put a little more effort in to their work. The other complaint was my card was charged twice for my stay. When I called the hotel about it I was told they had no idea what I was talking about as they could "not see anything in their system." I had to dispute the charge with my credit cart company to straighten it out.

Spent last night there and was delighted how nice it was especially for a budget hotel. Clean and comfortable with very comfortable beds. Now keep in mind that this is pretty much a no frills place so don't expect much in extras. No free shampoo but you do get soap. No hair dryers but available at the front counter. Free ice next to the check in desk. Friendly check in staff also. Free outdoor pool that open in season. Good for kids. About four feet deep.We'll be staying there again as we head back west.
