Moe's Original BBQ

The young woman that took our order was an absolute delight and extremely knowledgeable along with being very patient. It's a walk up counter to order then you can either dine in or get it to go. The place is very clean and an open atmosphere. It's quite pricey and the wasn't good. I had 3 in my party w/2 ppl ordering almost the exact same thing with the exception of one getting potato salad and the other ordering baked beans. The catfish was nice and hot, just nothing to ride home about. The banana pudding was homemade, but I was expecting a little more bang for your buck except the extremely small container that you received with it. Also I was expecting to actually see bananas. The Rib Sandwich I couldn't even eat because it was too salty. I know BBQ is salty, but this was to the extreme! The ice tea was excellent and brewed!

The ribs melt in your mouth. Red beans & rice--perfection. Everything else I've had there is top notch. The only disappointing part was the portion size of the banana pudding, I wanted it to be the same size as the other sides. If I'm ever in the area again I'll be back to try that catfish next.

Great little BBQ joint!!! Very clean!!! Been here a couple times and the food has been great each time. Can't wait to go back again. Also, if you like seafood good fried catfish and fried shrimp. The patio area is nice when it is warm.

Very much enjoyed everything about our meal at Moe's! Ribs were tender, the beans were the perfect flavor of spice, and -- ok, my favorite of the options was the side combo of 3, or was it 4? For $8. This allowed my husband to share his ribs and we all got to try the amazing potato salad - truly impressive, the red beans and rice (could had more rice but very tasty), and peanut butter pie. Yes! Pie!! And it was the best quantity of small; I forgot to share it with my husband. Or did I? Space was clean, social distance-accommodating and offered inside or out. And the cornbread!! Loved the cornbread!

Better than Cox Bros. by a country mile. Definitely recommend the pulled pork. I wish the portions were bigger though.

It smelled amazing!!! The young lady working the counter looked to be in here 20's looked like she hated life! No smile, no thank you'd, no manners. I don't think her facial expressions moved once. The bbq was a sweet tangy taste. Wasn't like a regular bbq sauce at all. So I was disappointed in that. The max and cheese was delicious!!! Baked beans were ok. So overall was ok but won't go back. It was nice to try for first time.

Good quality food. Not outstanding though, especially for the price. Served on/in cheesy paper boats and plates. Nice atmosphere. Friendly people.

I saw this place on Yelp and had to try it- our first BBQ stop in Kansas. I agree with the 5* review. I was starving after flying and driving all day. I asked the girl behind the counter for advice and she didn't steer me wrong. Smoked chicken sandwich, 'bama style with a slightly tangy cole slaw and delicious bbq sauce. I chose collard greens and tomato/cucumber salad for my sides. Greens were a bit spicy with a little hot sausage cooked in them. SO good! The chicken was delicious- all breast meat and lots of it! Hubby had smoked turkey sandwich with beans and cornbread. Definite delicious smoky flavor. Plenty of meat. The beans had jalapeños and were not too sweet, cornbread was moist and seemed to have been put under a broiler for a buttery toasted top crust. Sweet tea and a plain tea rounded out the meal. This place is a little tricky to find right now, as the other side is a Dara's corner market that is undergoing parking lot construction. Drive around to the street side to park. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and a decent stocked bar. A couple tvs, so I assume a great hangout on game days!
