It is really a 0 but that's not an option to post a review and review needs to be shared to protect future buyers. Bought our brand new 2019 Crownline from Mid-Kansas Marine in May of 2019. Had trouble with getting enough power after our two week vacation in Wisconsin on our first trip out a month after purchase. Brought it in to be checked on our way back home. After having to stay a night in a hotel waiting for a diagnosis and lots of rude treatment from Shelly (the owner) and Ben (our salesman) we were told we had gotten bad gas and charged $800 for a fix. Next trip out while detailing our boat, we found the gear lube resevoir had exploded with gear lube all over the engine compartment. Was told by Mid Kansas that it was a warranty issue and to bring it in. At that point we weren't willing to take our brand new boat back to their rude people and shoddy mechanics. Took our boat to a Crownline dealer in another city who replaced the lube resevoir but found and drained water from the engine caused by an incorrectly placed ring of some sort that had been doubled up. Was told it was definitely not factory installed that way. Mid-Kansas denied having ever touched it. Next time out heard grinding sounds so this time we took it to a certified Mercruiser Mechanic rather than a Crownline dealership since they didn't seem to be caring about the fact that Mid-Kansas had something to do with the damage to our boat. Certified Mercruiser mechanic got full permission from Mercruiser to do anything necessary to get the lower unit working right under warranty.Found out our serial numbers on our engine didn't match our original sales receipt or the paperwork on our loan. We were sold a boat that Mid-Kansas changed out the engine on several days before we picked it up. We had no knowledge that the engine was changed out and they never revealed this to us even after we struggled with trips to mechanics to have it repaired after every time out. Instead, they found ways to blame each problem on something else. After 6 months in the shop, (Covid paise included) certified Mercruiser mechanic found the fuel line had been pinched, the gimble bearings were rusted and worn and there was a hole in the bellows. All of this caused by faulty engine installation that we were not told about. Do not buy a boat from Mid-Kansas Marine in Andover or Hutchison. Both Shelly and Susan will lie, mistreat and deceive you every step of the way. We spent nearly $50,000 on a brand new boat and were given lies and treated like cdirt. They are dishonest and do not deserve your business or trust. What they did to us was fraud. They should have told us that they changed the engine all along and then we would have either had the chance to refuse that boat and wait for a different one or at least know that this one was having problems because an incompetent mechanic changed it out in a matter of days without our knowledge. They are crooked, they do not care about anything but the sale and remember... they didn't even blink an eye to charge us $800 more dollars after we only owned the boat for one month knowing full well that they did not disclose the fact that the engine had been changed and there easily could have been mistakes made. Shame on them. Attorneys are still coming. Have been waiting on the final paperwork from Mercruiser.

We had our boat serviced at mid Kansas marine. Our experience was unsatisfactory. I realize this is their busy time but our boat was there for a month and a half. They had quoted us 2-3 weeks before they could look at it. We were promised that the boat would be ready by the 4th of July and we never received a call. We finally got so upset we went to pick it up. They couldn't find our paperwork and the cover to our boat was damaged. The boat service was finished but nobody had given us a call to let us know it was ready to be picked up. I expected a phone call or something letting us know the status. I expected better customer service.

I bought my first boat in january from Mid Kansas Marine I drove 2 1/2 hours because I heard good things about them. From start to finish they were very professional. Although I haven't had the chance to lake test it I'm sure I will love being a new boat owner. Thanks

I was getting my 2004 Cobalt 250 boat ready for this year on the lake when I noticed that I could not get one of my batteries to keep a charge. I called Andy at Mid Kansas Marine and asked him if he had a battery charged up and ready to go. A new one. He said he did. I dropped by with my boat in tow and Adam removed and replaced the battery while I waited. Fast and efficient service. Customer service is always given a high priority at Mid Kansas Marine. Thank you Andy and Shelly.!

I have had nothing but bad times surrounding even the topic of this place. I bought a boat from them financing through the people they recommended. After calling them they say they won't give that much because that's no where close to what the boat books for. We worked out an ok deal from that.Took my boat on the water for the first time two weeks later five minutes into the ride... The engine overheated. Took it in the next week was told the impeller was broke and that was the reason for the incident. Still cost 700 bucks... Received my boat back in August so working for a school and football program knew I wouldn't have time to do anything so I just winterized it. As this summer approaches we realize that again won't be able to use the boat due to me being on military orders this summer and having a brand new baby... So after much discussion we decided it was best to just have them buy the boat back.. They start checking it over and tell me that the tilt is broke and that they aren't interested in buying the boat back... So considering I drove it only once and paid for it for two years they obviously sell boats they don't even want...So definitely shop somewhere else...

I never have been treated so poorly by customer service. The gentlemen who helped me would NOT help me find a replacement light for my boat. I listed multiple suggestions on how to determine what light would fit my boat. Instead of helping me, he refused to help me. Its unfortunate one employee can make a business look bad. I hope the owner, who has worked hard to build a reputation, will help eliminate the bad customer service.

Marine maintenance service at the Wichita Mid Kansas Marine location is excellent. Have not had the occasion to use the maintenance service in Hutchinson. My biggest complaint about this business is the retail price they place on the sell of a used boat, and the price they are willing to buy a used boat for. In my particular situation, the boat I purchased was either grossly misrepresented, or they attempted to severely gouge me when I tried to sell it back to them. I had only owned the boat I purchased from them for two years, and had kept it highly maintained by taking it back to Mid Kansas Marine for service. The difference between what I paid for the boat and what I was offered varied $8,000. Think the source of their problem is that they do not have enough competition, and they have gotten away with taking advantage of people on a regular basis. That opinion goes for both of their locations in Wichita and Hutchinson. If you are in the market for a new or used boat, I would highly recommend a trip to a reputable marine dealership in Oklahoma or Missouri. It would be worth the drive.

Bought my 2023 1875 Lund Pro V from a fishing guide who was buying a new Lund 1875 Pro V from mid kansas marine and was having them rig his boat by transfering his electronics from the 2023 to the 2024 boat. He recommended I have them rig the boat i was purchasing from him, so I did. I had them install the starting and trolling motor batteries that the guide provided and bought a 4th battery to use as a house battery and a 4 battery onboard charger from them. They were also to mount my Garmin graphs and live scope unit with the Garmin network cables that I provided. The wiring for the batteries and charger were left in place by the guide and they only had to route two cables to network the graphs to share info and software. I was told they had checked everything out and I was good to go. Couldn't get the graphs to work for two months, after consulting with Garmin, the only thing they could think of was the network cables wern't connected correctly. They had in fact hooked my dash Garmin graph with both ends of the same cable and it would not boot up. For this kind of service I paid them $2200. The part that makes me the maddest is that they lied to me about checking out their work and that everything was networked as it should be. I lost the spring walleye fishing for the year. I would avoid having them do any rigging on my boat if you buy one from them. Also I went on their own website to rate their service, and it does not appear. That is why I am rating them on Yelp!

If I could give them zero stars I would. Applied for financing on a certain boat. Took them 3 days to approve then said they sold the boat and tried to sell me some piece of crap. Just very disappointed in them..
