Mid-K has been around for a long time. I remember when they were first opened, and every African-American woman was waiting for the doors to open, excitement was electrifying as we waited for the grand opening. Mr. Lee, the original owner, was quiet yet watchfully eyeing the customers who stampeded through the door. Mid-K was the first business of such magnitude that inspired every black woman to be different. 30+ years later, they are still giving women (and men), children, and anyone who enters the courage to be different.
