best bank ever. I applied for a loan on Saturday morning, and the loan officer Billy Dempsey called me back within the hour, got my info and I was approved with money in the bank within 2 hours. I have been a member of the Credit Union for almost 10 years and it has been wonderful. thank you to all the employees. They are always helpful and courteous!!

This place is unbelievably horrible. Don't bank here and CERTAINLY don't get a loan here. You will spend the next couple year regretting it.

Nicest people ever who really try to say Yes instead of figuring out why they should say no!

Great customer service. Easy access to my money. Good rates on CDs and savings accounts and loans. Anytime I've had an issue (which is few and far between) everyone has done a great job of stepping in and helping me resolve that issue. I highly recommend this CU.

First off I have experienced nothing but good customer service, that being said I have had nothing but problems when it comes to the debit cards or money being taken from my account! The first debit card I received was not activated and I had to wait a few days to access my money unless I went in and manually withdrew it. 3 days later and it still wasn't activated so I went to the bank on my break and they activated it for me, told me to wait 5 minutes to make sure it worked and if I had any problems, come back, it worked so no need. Well I discovered that you could design your own debit card and they'd send it to you, received that one and it was inactive as well, even after they cancelled the other one, so I had to go back and do it all again to get it activated. Fast forward a few months, I had opted for the bill pay(my bills be taken from the account, but they don't post until a few days after), well it caused me to be late one a few of my bills, so I opted out and checked regularly to make sure that my payments had stopped coming from my account directly, for a month everything was good, then I'm suddenly missing $25(not a big deal to some, but every penny matters when there's medical things going on)! I log into my account and see that it's for bill pay, I call my phone provider and they tell me they didn't take it and that my account is up to date, I tell them what my online banking statement says and they put me on hold, a few seconds later the lady comes back and tells me that they didn't take the money from my account and they couldn't have since my account was up to date. I then call the bank and they tell me they see the same thing and suggest that my bill pay was still active in my account, I inform them that I'm looking at my account and it says no bills recurring and I give them the exact date that it was stopped and the reason, I'm told that they'll refund me the one time and they'll transfer me to the bill pay support department to make sure there's not a fault on them. Problem solved and the guy in the bill pay support department tells me that there's nothing recurring on my account to be taken out(big shock right) and told me the date I turned it all off and assured me that it wouldn't happen again. Well I got a text on my phone that money had been taken out of my account again, I go online and I'm missing $25 again for bill pay, that's been turned off since MAY, I'm going up there tomorrow to discuss this.

Website for payment center is terrible. You cannot see your total outstanding balance and get charged 10.00 for online payment in 2023 for God's sake. Statements are sent via snail mail, no option for electronic, which is clearly too futuristic for these cavemen. Do not recommend and would definitely NOT use again.

I have had nothing but great experiences with this bank. Thinking of switching all my accounts here. Particularly impressed at how easy it is to pay my auto loan. On my second one and have had nothing but a great experience.

You will regret getting a loan from them. I got a small $5k loan for a car 1.5 years ago, have paid on time, and now owe more than I borrowed. Seriously. If you get their optional insurance, they will not charge you by the month, but as a lump sum, add it to the loan, charge you interest on THAT as well, and fees.

First: Mid American Credit Union has some serious issues. In this day-an-age businesses that invite public customers to be part of their family, from goods purchase, to advice, to money transactions, are no longer 8am-5pm. This is due to majority of the town, city, metropolitan, county, state, and nation is a work force of 8am-5pm workers. Since they are only open Monday threw Thursday 8am-5pm it forces an 8am-5pm worker to loss pay to bank at them. By the way this is about the lobby and asking serious question about your account that cant be done threw a teller.Second: Mid American Credit Union is more of an online bank then person to person bank.I can understand the use of cameras and a bullet prof wall between the clerks and customers at the drive threw. That wall and cameras are way cheaper then bullet prof glass. I absolutely don't understand why a customer has to pay $5.00 to get one past monthly report of his/her account. By the way That is monthly, so if you want a yearly report that be $60.00 dollars. This is an outrage!Third: Mid American Credit Union charges for simple information that other banks, or credit unions, give out free to their register customers, building their security cheaper but yet the same level of security, and having the same interest rates on loans as the banks and other credit unions have. Why then is their interest rates on savings and checking so LOW! I had an account there and was astonish to hear, at the time, my savings will get only a 2% return. I now bank at another credit union. This credit union is open till 6pm, does not charge for even printing out your personal e-mails, and has a higher percent of return on my savings (5%) and checking (1%). There is one plus for Mid American Credit Union, the overall condition of their building is remarkable. What I am saying is that there building still looks brand new and clean. Their representatives are what you expect, if not better then other banks and credit unions. They will go the distance to help you and be calm with you up till you hit their wall of protocol.

I've been banking here for a long time. As it's grown, the good is being lost. If one sets up an automatic pay, it can take at least 3 tries before its done correctly. They tout one's money is immediately available until all of a sudden it's not. When calling to find out what the problem is, one encounters 3 different "reasons" none of which make sense. The only thing that hasn't changed is the safety deposit box. I'm dreading when that happens and expect it daily. The turnover seems high. No one I use to work with is still there. Each change in personnel means the SOP also changes--with no explanation or apology. I'm really close to looking for another place to take my biz. But then familiarity, while breeding contempt, still offers the long term factor with satisfaction when nothing goes wrong.
