I've been hearing a lot of buzz recently about Mid-America Fine Arts, so I made a point to check it out while visiting Wichita in July 2010. I was greeted at the door and given a personal tour of the gallery. The Prairie Print Makers exhibition was still going on when I visited. I think 200-some pieces from regional artists were hung in the main gallery, and there were hundreds more pieces in the side rooms. The staff were very friendly and informed about the artists and works in their collection. I enjoyed the tour, and I wish I had more time to look through the pieces in the back rooms. I recommend paying a visit to Mid-America Fine Arts to fans and collectors living near or visiting Wichita.

I was sent to Mid-America Fine Arts so sell a painting I inherited because it didn't fit my style. Brady was very familiar with the artist and did get a new home for my piece. While I was there, I toured the rooms and was very impressed with the variety of mostly local artists. If a customer couldn't find anything at first glance, I'm sure the gallery would work with you to find something because that's the kind of service they give you there.
