Dr. Reno is a great dentist. His staff is awesome too. I had not been to a dentist for 5 years when my daughter told me about Dr. Reno and his staff. I have always had a fear of dental work. Not any more. It's been over a year now and I go every 6 months. The entire office makes you feel comfortable.

I've been going to Dr. Reno for a couple of years. He and his staff are always fun to be around. Danielle and Courtney are great and make having your teeth cleaned fun. Never had a negative experience and would recommend anyone I know to give them a visit.

I had reservations seeing a new Dentist only because I relocated to Wichita, KS from Texas. My past Dentist routinely treated me for over 15 years. He knew everything about my smile. My first visit started with a cleaning by one of his hygienist; however, knew I needed to replace a lost filling. X-rays were completed and Dr. Reno pleasantly introduced himself. Dr. Reno explained in detail our next steps aka treatment. He said, I needed a tooth extraction and a crown. My inner voice agreed with a "crown," and said "Right," however, paused about the tooth extraction. Seeing my facial reservations/expressions of discomfort, he offered and even suggested having a second opinion to validate his treatment. He further offered to send the x-rays and treatment to my past Dentist. At that point, he gained my confidence, sense of security and trust. Less than a week later, my tooth was extracted and now waiting for my well deserved "Crown." I am apprehensive about needles. He used topical anesthetic before using the needle to further numb me up. It was literally PAINLESS! 30-minutes later my tooth was extracted and a tooth prepped for my "crown." He communicated every step in detail prior to preforming his painless magic for my smile. His office was extremely flexible meeting my needs before end year. Basically, his office staff turned my "short-notice" timing priorities into theirs to meet my end year insurance. His office sends out text reminders for visits and email notices. Amazing! Love the open dialogue of communication for the Dr visits. In summary, I highly recommend Dr. Michael Reno as anyone's Dentist if you are looking for a smooth and painless routine for treatments.I look forward to my Invisalign treatment to start.

Care quality. Had filling for cavity and a month later excruciating pain where Dr Reno did filling. Went to office and told it was nothing wrong with filling MUST be something else. Referred me to orthodontist instead. Still got charged for xray and being referred to another Dr? Very dishonest and deceiving at Dr Reno's office. There is no way drs can be at fault or make mistakes? (Update) just asked for my medical records and I got charged 28$, Since when does it cost to get medical records? I'm sure if there was no issues with dentist office there would be no charge. What a scam!

Quality of service has gone downhill over the past few years. Seems as if there has been a higher turnover rate. I've received exceptional care in the past, but my latest check-up was painful. The dental hygienist was aggressive when cleaning my teeth and questioning my responses to her questions even though I was being transparent. I had a filling 8 months ago and to this day suffer from nerve damage. I can no longer taste on one side of my mouth as a result of the local anesthesia that was administered two or three times...local anesthesia that failed to kick in until after the filling was complete. I could feel the drill the entire time. Dr. Reno prescribed me methylprednisolone and referred me to an oral surgeon in an attempt to address it. Four months ago, I scheduled an appointment for 12/9/21 at 8:40 am, but I received two separate emails stating that I had two appointments scheduled two months apart. One in December 2021 and the other in February 2022. I called to clear that up. The week before my appointment, I received an email stating that I had an appointment scheduled for 12/9/21 at 8:40 am, which was accurate. However, the week of my appointment I received another email stating that I had an appointment scheduled for 12/9/21 at 7:50 am. I called to check on it and the front desk told me that the 8:40 slot was filled and she has me down for 7:50. I explained to her my situation and the emails that I had received, but her response was "I don't know". There's a bug in their scheduling system that hasn't been fixed for at least four months or their scheduling team is making changes to appointments without the patient's discretion.I had originally posted this review on Google, but Dr. Reno doesn't seem to believe in the fact that I was a patient and do suffer from nerve damage as a result of a filling that I received at his practice. Here was his response to the feedback that I had provided above:"In response to the above review, I DO NOT have any patients who have reported nerve damage in my entire professional career. This so-called patient is NOT a patient. If they truly were a patient, they would not hide behind a fake google account. Unfortunately, this is an ex-employee who is unhappy and tends to post disparaging reviews that are not true. Why would any patient return 8 months later after claiming they had nerve damage and still can't taste after a horrible experience? Let alone comment on new staff who were replaced by retiring employees? My only hope is that this ex-employee move on and let go of any grudges they harbor. The practice has benefitted from their departure. If you want real "CERTIFIED" reviews from actual patients, please visit Demandforcehttps://local.demandforce.com/b/michael-reno-dds , DentalInsider, Yelp, WebMD, etc. Thank you!!"Therefore, I am posting this on Yelp as well that way it's a "certified" review from an "actual patient".In response to Dr. Reno's comment, I can assure you that this feedback is coming from a former patient of 10+ years. I wanted to give this practice the benefit of the doubt since permanent nerve damage is rare after dental anesthesia. Plus, as previously mentioned, I've received exceptional care in the past. But the decrease in quality of service along with ongoing scheduling issues mentioned above was enough for me to seek dental care elsewhere. I wanted to provide constructive feedback that way this practice could learn and try to improve back to the standard of care it had been in the past, but it seems as if it was taken personally.

I have been dealing with perio cleanings for quite a few years now and it's always a bit intense. Courtney was amazing and extremely careful to be sure I was comfortable throughout my dental procedure! The entire team at Dr. Reno's office makes you feel right at home. I would definitely recommend Dr. Reno and his team to all of my family and friends!

Honest, Ethical and Professional....I went to visit Dr. Reno after being told by another local dentist that I needed a very expensive crown. Dr. Reno and his assistant spent quality time and did a thorough examination using the newest technology. After going through this process Dr. Reno' s conclusion was that there was no need for the crown and no deterioration to my tooth. His actions saved me about 1500.00 and reinforced the age old adage of the importance of a 2nd opinion. I definitely recommend.
